Predictably, Peter Brownlie, president of Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri, told the Associated Press he opposes the creation of the new panel. He said he would provide it with pro-abortion studies supposedly showing abortion is beneficial for women. What a jackass!
Guilt and depression that often becomes suicidal, increased risk of breast cancer and infertility, increased risk of very premature babies, and the possibility of dying during the act of infanticide ARE NOT beneficial to anyone.

I wonder if NIH would fund this if Mo. made a grant request?

While I agree with you, I have to take exception of wasting $ on yet another unneeded study. It's not like everyone hasn't known the consequences for thousands of years.

I am opposed to abortion, I think it is wrong and disgusting. I consider myself pro-life.
However, I don’t think this is an appropriate use of tax-payer money.
Just as I am opposed to any funding for abortion or for stem cell research, or for cloning.

I’m more concerned on how abortion hurts babies, although until women discover that it will hurt them too, the point is lost.

Predictably, Peter Brownlie, president of Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri, told the Associated Press he opposes the creation of the new panel. He said he would provide it with pro-abortion studies supposedly showing abortion is beneficial for women. Especially very tiny women, who seldom even complain about being aborted.
