The Baptists, Methodists, Catholics, Lutherans, Pentecostals, Mormons and a few other faiths have three things in common they believe in Jesus Christ, that He is the Son of God and that He died and was resurrected for our sins.
So whats the problem?
The political pundits continue to try and make Mitt Romneys religious beliefs a big issue as he runs for the Republican presidential nomination. Different denominations of Christianity are just that different denominations which means different worship practices of the same fundamental Christian beliefs.
Some people have commented that they cannot support Mitt Romney because he is a Mormon. When they are pressed to explain why that is objectionable, they stutter. Still others are skeptical of Mitt Romney based solely on hearsay or lack of knowledge about Mormons.

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:I put the lie in Red for you,and bolded the true statement...
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:Again, I have bolded God's confirmation that Satan's promise contained some truth.
‘After all that you can do’ ... If it is not the Holy Spirit in you doing the transforming, all that you can do will be burned up in the day of the Lord. Really, how dense can one person be? Post after post, the poster exceeds his own achieved density.
Well, of course, you're right once again, Elsie (at least on the first half of my response). But on the other hand, it opened a "recall" moment in my mind in which I was then able to toss up some additional questions that LDS postes need to address:
The thoughts that shot through my mind were, "Oh, yeah, what about BYU-TV airing and re-airing Harry Reid nationally for two weeks? Oh, yeah, what about LDS-owned Deseret Publishing peddling Reid's testimonial for the past 5 years? Oh, yeah, what about a BYU faculty person, knowing full well Reid's position on marriage, lumped all of Reid's political stances under the umbrella of areas where "the Lord has seen fit to be silent?"
As am member of a church that says it is the only true church I have continued to study the truth of that statement.
It has been years since I have studied some of the churches you suggested so I will go back and look at them again.
One other question, do you know of any new findings that are supposed to prove the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints wrong. There are a few of the old evidences that I have not yet found to be inaccurate, but these I am taking on faith to also be wrong, while I study more.
Vice President Dick Cheney was standing room only at the Marriott Center (22,000.) He received a standing ovation. Not to excuse the BYU students, but the forums are piped into all the buildings on BYU campus. When I was a student there, I would often listen to the devotional or forum in another building, and not have to walk to the Marriott Center in bad weather. (The Marriott Center is located on the northeast edge of campus, most buildings that hold classes are located on the southeast side of campus.) So there isn't an accurate number of who listened to Judge Roberts (or for that matter, Harry Reid.)
Second, why does it not surprise me that you would try to use BYU replaying the Harry Reid forum on its station as proof of its liberal leanings and “force-feeding Harry Reid on America at-large.”. How pathetic. I guess you didn’t bother to learn that BYU-TV regularly replays EVERY forum/devotional multiple times, did you? If you wanted to see Chief Justice Roberts’ forum speech on BYU-TV, you could also choose from several selections. Don’t bother with the facts, just hurl the charges of “force-feeding,” right?

All I was pointing out is that BYU doesn’t appear to be as conservative as it used to be. (You disagree with that?)
It would be my contention, though, that both BYU students AND faculty are not as conservative as they once were.
And your proof of the foregoing? A whopping 3 percent of the faculty and BYU were supportive of Reid when he spoke at the forum. That is damning proof I tell you that BYU is becoming liberal, truly damning proof.
I’m a graduate of BYU. My daughter is currently attending BYU. My son will be attending BYU next year. I’m involved with campus activities. I’m the BYU alumni president in the area where I live. I’m confident I know the climate at BYU much better than you do or ever will. You’ve probably never even been on the campus, but certainly feel comfortable asserting that students and faculty are “less conservative.” I have a very good pulse on BYU as compared to you and I consider the students/faculty to be no less conservative today than when I attended. But of course, your opinon would be more valid than mine because you know so much more about BYU than I do, right?

I’ve read firsthand what one BYU prof is teaching in his class and I can tell you with 100% certainty that what this BYU prof is teaching is typical of what liberal profs are teaching nationwide...and that the old guard @ BYU would not have put up with this kind of content.
Please be specific. Identify this professor and what he supposedly is teaching that is “typical of what liberal profs are teaching nationwide.” I find this assertion particularly suspect.
Finally, your use of the quote by Magleby is specious. Nothing in his quote references marriage as an area where the Lord has been silent or that students cannot disagree with Reid’s non-support for a Constitutional Amendment. Did Magleby specifically tell the students they should not disagree with Reid on a marriage amendment and be silent on the issue of marriage? You created a totally bogus red herring.
More importantly, don’t you at least think you should disclose Reid’s history regarding his support for marriage between a man and a woman. Reid, a Nevada senator, SUPPORTED Question 2 in Nevada which amended the Nevada Constitution to recognize marriage as only between a man and a woman. Reid has stated he doesn’t support a US Constitutional Amendment because he believes it should be handled on a state level. Remember states rights and the Tenth Amendment? He in fact supported such an amendment to the Nevada Constitution. While I personally disagree with Reid's stance on the US Constitution, its not as if he doesn't support marriage as only between a man a woman.
Bottom line: Do us all a favor and peddle your anti-Mormon garbage elsewhere.
I can see your a staunch supporter of the first amendment. So much for the “marketplace of ideas” justification as the underpinning of the first amendment.
In Colofornian’s world only those who agree with his opinions or ideas may express them. All others are pariahs whose ideas need to be banned, right?

Should have never married out of the church. And I’m not being facetious. I can’t possibly imagine that combination of faiths being successful.
