HALL OF FAME #19 THE WEEKEND THREAD T.G.I.F. at the Finest |
Every Thursday at the Finest |
Thank you Rus! I have an “oh my” story re: this devotional.. I received it twice this morning in Email and you had it posted today.
I think God is talking to me also. Have had a lot of death in my life this past calendar year & although I face my own mortality years ago(at age 31) there has been more & more for this “death chaplain” to examine still yet.
We must treasure our relationships & always ourself be ready to meet our maker. We are not promised tomorrow or even a half hour from now..
The eagle is noble indeed. Great photo, Jaycee..
I can see why the native Indians prize the eagle feather.
When in need, feeling prayerful or contemplative, do not hesitate to look through the prayer links on my homepage.
Dolly, wow, what a day... a nice break for you all. The loveliness of autumn comes shining through. I received Lehman’s catalog at one time, along with dozens of others. I think, before I discovered internet, I used to while away hours looking through catalogs, occasionally buying something. But, more often than not, I’d be sending it back...lol.
Knowing what to do before you call the doc, I can dig that. My Mom would have loved that book you bought. Does it have any wisdom re skin conditions, e.g., eczema?
You look great, Bill looks great, Patty looks great... did they buy stuff too? Oh, btw, I love speckled enamelware...
Dita, I am sorry about your flare up..*HUGS*
Gorgeous picture!

Back online this Military Monday after a long hot week in my little old town, first thing I wanna do is say Hello to all the Finest.
Wishing you all a safe and moderately spooky Halloween tomorrow .... )
(((jw ))), How did you fare in the fires..I hope your place is OK! How did your kitty do?
Howdy, Miss Meg ... we had to evacuate last week so I grabbed little Coffee and we headed down into the desert for the day.
Returned that night ... just a few stragglers and the sheriffs in town ... spent an eerie couple of days without power while the world burned around us, but the winds kept us safe with the fires always to the West.
After I felt it OK, I left for a couple of days, the cats in the care of a neighbor.
Coffee, my number one, is quite irritated that I was away ... but I’m glad to be back ... there’s no place like home ... )
Meg, that is such a cute gif. Love it.

Hi JW, thanks for checkin in. Maybe things will get back to normal soon.
Hut-2-3-4....
As he was drilling a batch of recruits, the sergeant saw that one of them was marching out of step. Walking up next to the man as they marched, he said sarcastically: “Do you know they are all out of step except you?”
“What?” asked the recruit innocently.
“I said — they are all out of step except you!” thundered the sergeant.
The recruit replied, “Well, sarge, you’re in charge — you tell them!”
Good news! I am so glad you and Coffee are OK! I have witnessed the fire come down the mt when I lived in Goleta in 1990..
the all took off after a deer & all came back in 5 or so minutes(Toby normally is also.).. but not this time. We have scrounged & called, whistled etc. in case he broke a leg or was caught in trap. Having your pet missing Halloween eve is not good. He is very trusting & friendly & will readily approach people..
On his tag is all the info if his collar didn't come off. we have notified the police & national park dispatchers..
Trusting God & praying for my little guy
This is about 10 miles south of my home (as the crow flies & via the Towpath & river) He is not street savvy at all
Toby is here pictured closest to me.. the light golden mix
Thanks everyone
I checked it out, Dita.....very nice. Clicked on some and they are beautiful. Thank you for that!
I am so sad about your dog. Wish I could help, Dolly...I know its killing you. Please advise on better news.
Excellent pictures Dolly :)
Thanks!
Oh no, I’m saying prayers you find Toby.
