Would you advocate third party or stay home if Huckabee is the candidate?
October 28,2007 | Ebmiller

There is great hostility to Govenor Huckabee by many freepers. Since Rasmussen is including Huckabee in the daily tracking poll, it seems he is gaining some traction. I am curious since many on this site have grave doubts about a Huckabee presidency, how many would go to a third party or would just stay home?

If Huck or Hillary was the choice, I'd just right RIP for the USA.

Huckabee promotes 'open door' policy at LULAC convention

Thursday, Jun 30, 2005

By Wesley Brown Arkansas News Bureau

"Pretty soon, Southern white guys like me may be in the minority," Huckabee said jokingly as the crowd roared in laughter.

LITTLE ROCK - In a impassioned speech before hundreds of influential Hispanic civil rights leaders from across the nation, Gov. Mike Huckabee told a captive audience Wednesday that America is great because it has always opened it doors up to people seeking a better way of life.

"I would hope that no matter who we are, or where we are from, that America should always be a place that opens its arms, opens it heart, opens its spirit to people who come because they want the best for their families ...," Huckabee said as the largely Hispanic audience gave him a standing ovation.

Huckabee was the keynote speaker, along with Tyson Foods Inc. Chairman and CEO John Tyson, at a noon luncheon of the League of United Latin American Citizens, which is holding its 76th annual convention in Little Rock.

About 10,000 political, community and business leaders, along with exhibitors and speakers are in Little Rock attending the convention at the Statehouse Convention Center. The convention started Monday and runs through Saturday.

Although he never actually talked about the U.S. or Arkansas immigration policy, Huckabee made it very clear where he stood on the issue. In his opening remarks, he said the nation will need to address the concerns of the Hispanic community because of its growing influence and population base.

"Pretty soon, Southern white guys like me may be in the minority," Huckabee said jokingly as the crowd roared in laughter.

He told the LULAC delegates that their presence in the state's capital city was very important because Arkansas has one of the fastest growing Hispanic populations in the nation.

"Your gathering is so very significant for our state," Huckabee said. "We are delighted to have you (criminal invader illegal aliens)"

Here’s the thing:

We can and need to do both; support the best R to win in the primary as well as general elections, AND....

Continue to work one person at a time in changing minds, educating, enlightening the people around us to embrace and appreciate the conservative life.

We have been up against a monster main stream media, indoctrinating the masses for years now on becoming liberal. The best we’ve got now, is doing the same in the other ear of the masses.

Although I totally see WHY some will not vote for anyone BUT a true conservative, I fully believe it is best for this great country to vote for the one closest to your beliefs and work like hell to continue to evolve the situation.

This is about real values and real principle

Elections are about getting the best available candidate elected. Nothing more. I have "real values and real principles" but I am realistic enough to know that they don't mean squat to the people running. Why should they?

During the 2000 election campaign a private citizen tried to express his opinion to candidate George Bush. Bush's reply: "Who cares what you think!" If you think any other candidate would be any different, you're fooling yourself.

Knock yourself out wishing and hoping, and vote for whoever you want in the primaries. But when the general election comes around you have a different obligation.

Let them get Peroed for a change.

If that happens,...

The only unacceptable candidate for me is Giuliani. If the Republican Party nominates him, then I’ll know that I’m not a Republican any more.

Me and all my democratic brethren would just sit at home and pout, just to show everybody how we feel, because it’s all about us, and if it isn’t, we’re just going to pout, protest in San Francisco and have another die-in, as soon as we get some more batteries for our Megaphone, so we can all pout together at the same time and pretend if we don’t get our way, then nobody should be allowed to have any fun, because they are making too much money anyways, so we’re going to vote in Hillary, so she can take away everything they have, because they’re coming to take me away, in their pretty white coats, to a place where people are happy all the time and they’re coming to take me away, hehe, haha, hoho, to the funny farm and then they’ll see how important it is for us to have our way all the time, hehe, haha, hoho,....

That 2005 speech with his retarded smear of history and his idiot yuk-yuk jokes about the alien onslaught was what killed Huckabee for me right from the start.

However...in the remote case that he gets the GOP nomination, I would rather trust him to respond to concerted public outcry, as McCain did ("message received") than trust Clinton, who would basically smirk and sneer as America went down the drain.

Sorry but I don’t think a CNN Exit Poll is very compelling data. I think it has been proven that Exit Polls are not very reliable.

What sort of data meets your criteria? Actually if anything I think that 2006 CNN exit poll oversampled the conservatives. What is clear is that the MSM is skilled in the art of conservative turnout depression by the timing and nature of coverage of news stories such as the Mark Foley scandal. Expect more of the same next year. If Hillary is the nominee, expect much more.

Voting for the Republicans just because they are not the Democrats is getting old.

I am voting on the ISSUES, not for a fancy Madison Avenue designer label...

NON-NEGOTIABLE issues:

1. War.

2. Border.

3. Terrorism.

4. 2nd Amendment.

How can any reasonable person suggest that fighting a war and terrorism are not related to illegal immigration and the SECOND AMENDMENT???

Burn baby, burn.

Giuliani can go to hell...
