October 27, 2007 -- Hillary Clinton's first reaction upon discovering that Bill had carried on an affair with Monica Lewinsky in the Oval Office was that her husband "couldn't be that insane," biographer Sally Bedell Smith writes in her upcoming book about the couple, "For Love of Politics."
Bedell - author of "Grace and Power: The Private World of the Kennedy White House" and "Diana in Search of Herself: Portrait of a Troubled Princess" - told WOR Radio's Steve Malzberg that her new book, out next month, includes an interview with a close pal of Sen. Clinton who said Hillary was aware of her hubby's cheating ways long before Lewinsky.
Bedell told Malzberg on the air, "This person said, 'If [Hillary] heard that he had sort of gone out and had a fling on the road, she could have believed that in a heartbeat. Look, she was not about to divorce him for doing something that he had been doing for their whole married life, the only difference being the magnitude.'
"But it was the fact that it was in the Oval Office, that it lasted for . . . 18 months, which is an astonishing length of time."
Smith said that people "have amnesia about the Clinton years because of 9/11 and the war in Iraq and Afghanistan."

I’m actually with Hillary on this one. What offended me most about the whole Lewinsky affair was that Clinton spent his entire adult life pursuing his White House goal and, when entrusted with it by 43% of the American public, he was so disrespectful of the office. He didn’t even have the self-control and restraint to honor his elective position. What an alley cat.

Further evidence of this sham “marriage” that the Clintons use to fool enough gullible-ass people into voting for them. The rest of us could see thru this in 1992, especially after the 60 Minutes segment.
The Clintons are the phoniest people on the face of the earth. How one got to be President in the first place truly amazes me. How the second one is even a candidate is even more amazing.
This country has lost its collective mind.

As far as her not knowing about Lewinsky...gimme a break.
And always remember that the smartest woman in the world was outsmarted by a 20 year old intern in a blue dress.
That is the only thing I give credit to Hillary for is that she forgave her husband and stayed married instead of having a sinful divorce which I don’t think God appreciates. Other than that I can’t stand the women.
Bill is just like a buck deer during rutting season. He’s oblivious of everything except getting laid. Only problem is, he hasn’t been hit by a car on the highway yet.
And we may get 4 or 8 more years of the same if Hillary gets elected.
Bill will have even more freedom to tomcat around.
