Sounds kind of dubious. I remember when I was little I didn't like the pickles that McDonald's put on their burgers, so I just picked them out before stuffing down the burger. I guess removing the offending meat wasn't an option here? Might not leave you with much of a sandwich, but at least you'd adhered to one of the edicts of your religion.

Liberalism has really hit them hard when you consider the fact that the inmates want to run the jail and set out all the terms, conditions, and now, accommodations. Next they'll be requiring room service for some special newly-invented ritual.

If you don't like conditions in the slammer, wouldn't it make more sense to stop doing things that can get you sent there?
