I am not surprised by the lack of availability of any Houston officials...
But then again if the crackdown can effect the transportation side, at the source, down in the Laredo area...
The safe houses (the coyotes use regularly) in the Houston area are going to dry up significantly...

It really is a shame that we have to wait for illegals to burn down half of California before we go to a zero tolerance policy. Way to be on top of things (insert any government official’s name here.)

Isn’t that the truth. Think the pro-illegal politicans are now in CYA mode. Love to hear them explain how illegals are so good for America now. Even the far left folks in the area are having fits.

They can't do that!!! Tony Snow and George Bush and Lindsey Graham said they needed new laws, as in Comprehensive Immigration Act.
Why, this could mean that they are going to start enforcing the existing laws. Oh the huge manatee!

Has it been established that it was illegals that started some of those fires in California???
I’m not questioning you, but since they shot and killed one that was involved in the arson...They have released his name at one point in the last couple of days...But no one has followed up on him or some of his alleged compadres...
It would be interesting to know all about that, before we go off half-cocked and assume this is the work of a couple of “random” illegal aliens...
Not that any of it is that big a stretch...

Fox News reported yesterday that the guy killed in the shootout was identified as a Guatamalan (illegal)
The Guatemalan in the article was not killed in a shootout. He was arrested. Additionally Michelle Malkin was on Neil Cavuto's show this afternoon. She stated the Guatemalan had entered the country illegally but by some very questionable and undetermined process had obtained legal status.

I will try to find the online source, but on television today, they stated that they had arrested two people in socal, one of which was a Guatamalan national (not illegal) and one had had his citizenship revoked (illegal) and that there were similarities to fires started by suspected illegals and drug dealers in Arizona and New Mexico.
