I thought Elvis was cooler than this. Not only that, he cannot "croon" a la Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, or Mel Torme (someone needs to tell him that, and soon).

Next summer I expect her picture to be pasted multiple times on buildings, fences like in Europe.

I glad that Hillary is all happy with herself having a big party in New York raising money for herself while the Real President was walking amid the smoldering ruins of California promising money to aid the dispossessed!

Here's what Rush noted a month ago:
The Hillary-Hsu-Woodstock Connection
September 13, 2007 RUSH: Yesterday, during our excursion into broadcast excellence, we had a big story from the Wall Street Journal detailing where Norman Hsu (Hsu Xiao Ling) got his money, $40 million. Where did he get it, and how did it end up with the Clintons? We know how it ended up with the Clintons and the Democrat Party. But where he got it was from a guy named Rosenman who is now a financier on Madison Avenue in New York, and it turns out that Rosenman was one of the guys who founded, and orchestrated, and put on Woodstock in 1967 at Max Yasgur's farm. I got an e-mail yesterday afternoon after the program that said, "Do you realize that Mrs. Clinton has proposed that Congress pay or spend one million dollars to build a Woodstock museum?" You know, Mrs. Clinton is running around like she didn't know who Hsu is and she didn't know where Hsu got his money. She has no idea about this. She's totally surprised. So I read this e-mail with a lot of interest. Well, my gosh, here's a connection, if she's authorizing a million dollars spent for a Woodstock museum! http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_091307/content/01125107.guest.html

I always thought there was something wimpy/creepy about Billy Crystal.
I am missing something. I really, really do not see why the adulation for drab Hillary.

George Orwell was a socialist until he saw how unwilling the leftists around him were to be critical of Stalinism.
It took Pete Seger over 40 years to admit to the horrors under Stalin.
Animal Farm and 1984 are about the USSR. They aren’t speculative fiction. They are allegory to what DID happen.
Now look at how the DNC and the media wing of The Party revise history as it suits them. Deny deny deny then do a 180. There is no "state run media" (like the rest of the world has) but one party DOES collude with the MSM editors to spin and break a number of stories. Now look at how that same party seeks to shackle the mouths of those who dissent from their talking points.

Did Sir Edmund honor her with his presence?
To: Cecily
He’s English, she’s Canadian and the twins were born in NYC. Must make sense to someone, but not to me.
To: Cecily
May be the twins are archor kids?

Im a big Elvis Costello fan and this bugs me. However, I listen to him for his music, not his politics. Same here. His first five or six albums are fantastic. Never knew or cared about his politics. Ignorance was certainly bliss. Although it sickened me to see this I think his voice still sounds great. He'll always be my favorite but I wish I could erase the memory of seeing him with "it".

Is there anyone more self absorbed than the Clintons? Will she be having birthday parties throughout 2007 like Bubba?
Birthday parties are for kids not 60 year olds. God, they’re disgusting and so are their friends.Juveniles all.

Crystal, in a more serious moment during his introduction of the former president, told the fund-raiser's audience at Manhattan's Beacon Theater Hillary Clinton's campaign was one of only three times he had become politically engaged -- after the election of John F. Kennedy in 1960 and Bill Clinton's victory in 1992. Not many folks brag publicly about being a 3 time loser.

Shut up and sing, indeed. I'm a huge Elvis Costello fan and have seen him several times. He's always been a lefty and anti-military: Oliver's Army fits the Democrat view perfectly. But, in almost three decades of listening to him, I've ignored his politics. I can't stand the thought of him and Hitlery (just as it killed me that Bruce Springsteen gave Dukakis a boost in '88) but am not surprised by it.
He really isn't all that relevant now and I imagine that about three-fourth of the electorate has absolutely no idea who he is. Kind of like the big "young women for Hillary" party she threw a while back where the featured performer was somebody like Carole King and the crowd was confused and not impressed.
I last saw him on the Deliveryman tour. It was a good and energetic performance but it was kind of amusing to see him get winded. If you can find it get a copy of Nieve & Costello (the five cities box) for an intimate set of performances from his best release of the past twenty years (All this Useless Beauty).
