To read the MSM headlines (which I try not to) the falling dollar is the end of the world. Maybe Wall Street should get a Noble Prize for their work in "Global Dollar Cooling". But seriously, what are the effects of a weak dollar?
1) Increased exports. Last month's exports were among the highest on record. Trade deficit? What trade deficit? Boeing, Caterpiller, Microsoft, Apple, etc. all with surges in foreign export sales.
2) Outsourcing? What outsourcing? All of the sudden it becomes cheaper to employ an American technician than one from Bangalore.
3) Cost of living? (I love this part!) Since China has pegged the Yuan to the Dollar, everything we get from China costs exactly the same! Maybe this will convince them to unlink the Yuan. Then we'll REALLY see who's the best producer.
4) Buhh... buhh... buhh... but foreigners will stop buying American Treasuries! What? In order to buy Russian ones? Chinese ones? Venezualian ones? Give me a break.
A weak Dollar equals: more exports, more jobs, more tourists (spending money) and the same or higher standard of living.
Bring it on!
Oh, this could easily hit a thousand...under the right circumstances (lol)
“Oh, this could easily hit a thousand...under the right circumstances (lol)”
Ping everybody! Let’s do it!
Back now,,,packin’ peanuts All over the livin’ room...;0)

Jimmah..........that you, Jimmah??
Read the constitution. Thats my proof.
That is if you can read it.
One idea would be to go back and find the other related threads and post their links. That’s the one thing I hate doing is retyping the same thing ever two days or weeks or whatever. How long was the OAS (Organization of American States) thread? Or the DOS Site thread? Or the China taking the top spot in Global Trade Dominance thread? We could talk about Global Warming too. I’m wondering if a few of our posters here also believe in Global Warming. I’m seriously thinking they do.
lolol
Find that source yet?
I'm sure you'll find it soon since you would never pass on propaganda.
To coin money, regulate the value thereof, and of foreign coin, and fix the standard of weights and measures;
That is if you can read it.
LOL!
Last, but not least is probably what could be itching a few folks, and that is the unavoidable fact that trade is at least one issue with the Presidential races. It’s hard enough just to discuss this without politics (as has been proven already), but with the political football to throw around...it may not be a bad idea to at least touch on.
Come on, I know you are online... All I'm asking is for a simple source. You can even use a wacky conspiracy theory website if that's all you have.
Or you can admit to passing off propaganda. Your choice.
Whack ‘em!
Um, I’m pretty happy with my life...
I’m actually pretty wealthy relative to most...
And I didn’t “trash the USA”...
Someone has a chip on their shoulder simply discussing facts. The continued falling value of a nation’s currancy is not the path to a better standard of living or wealth in general. It is as simple as that. It’s a bit like taxing your way to prosperity... Lots of libs think you can. It fails everytime...
The lower $ means higher oil, gold, copper, iron, energy, food, service, etc., prices, and taxes on non-existent capital gains - duh? Your savings are stolen from you and you welcome it with a dumb “what’s it to me” look?
To coin money, regulate the value thereof, and of foreign coin, and fix the standard of weights and measures;
Suck on it!
I have done trade with the following entities:
1)Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia..if e don’t blow it...they are friendly to Americans...yes, even the Muslims! But you have to “grease” the right natives to do a deal!
2) Jakarta, Indonesia. Americans are pretty safe in Jakarta..........just don’t leave the city, or they might be forced to slit youe blue eyed throat :-)The country is run by thugs and goons. Free trade??
ROTFLMAO!!
3) Burma: Junta thugs....fergitabout it!
4) Singapore......run by Chinese mob(benevolent dictatorship)\
Brilliant financiers they will screw you every time or no deal! They know you need the deal and they will bleed you dry.....Free trade? Go ahead and try :-)
5) Thailand: Not too bad, really......about like Malaysia. They treat Americans pretty well, if you are honorable to them, they reciprocate......only have a few people to buy off(tribute)
China: Real snakes.......they will screw us every time, and we thank them for it. I have actually done a precious few deals that we (American commerce) won on. They respected me because I stood up to them, and told them more than a few times to go F themselves. They respect strenth....they hate weakness. But they are still Commie thug scum!!
Rump Bump-o
Now that we agree that the Federal Reserve is constitutional, what else do you want to whine about?
