TVNewser has learned Laura Ingraham is joining FNC as the primary fill-in for Bill O'Reilly as well as for Sean Hannity on Hannity and Colmes. Ingraham will also contribute to other FNC shows. Ingraham will continue to host her daily radio show. No stranger to TV, Ingraham is often a guest commentator on cable news shows. She also hosted her own show on MSNBC called "Watch It!" (Full disclosure, produced by yours truly).
>More: In a press release Ingraham says, "After years of guest appearances on FOX, I couldn't be happier about the opportunity to add my voice to FNC's stellar lineup."
LAURA INGRAHAM JOINS FOX NEWS CHANNEL
Leading talk radio personality and best selling author Laura Ingraham has joined FOX News Channel (FNC) as primary substitute host of The O'Reilly Factor and Hannity & Colmes, as well as a contributor, announced Bill Shine, Senior Vice President of Programming. In making the announcement, Shine said, "I have been an admirer of Laura's work for quite some time. She is a welcome addition to the FOX News family."
Ingraham added, "After years of guest appearances on FOX, I couldn't be happier about the opportunity to add my voice to FNC's stellar lineup."
In addition to hosting her own syndicated radio program, Ingraham most recently authored Power to the People, which topped The New York Times and Amazon's bestseller list shortly after its debut. She is also the author of New York Times bestseller Shut Up & Sing: How the Elites in Hollywood, Politics...and the UN are Subverting America (September 2003) and The Hillary Trap (June 2000).
Prior to the launch of her radio career with The Laura Ingraham Show in 2001, she served as a law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and Ralph K. Winter on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. After clerking, Ingraham worked as a white-collar criminal defense attorney for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. FOX News Channel (FNC) is a 24-hour general news service covering breaking news as well as political, entertainment and business news.
For more than five years, FNC has been the most watched cable news channel in the nation, presenting the top eight out of ten programs in the genre for 2007 to date. Owned by News Corp., FNC is available in more than 90 million home.
Having Laura host Bill O’Reilly’s show is about the only way you could ever get me to watch it.
I am with you 100%.
All I can say is: Perfect.
me three
Go Get them Laura. I know She be a great replacement for Michelle Malkin and Bill Orielly.
Hmmm. Malkin must of turned them down.
Let us know if you get a response there, Steve!
That’s great! Laura is my favorite conservative bombshell of all. Now, someone who knows and cares about her needs to tell her to (1) stop laughing nervously, (2) stop shifting her eyes off-camera when she gets nervous, and (3) modulate her voice a little better. Relatively minor changes to make — then she is perfect.
Good!
I would have been happy with Michelle Malkin as well.
Anyone have that poster with Michelle, Laura, and Ann Coulter as “Charile’s” Angels?
She won’t.
I asked her first.
Always liked her more than Ann, never could understand the rabid attraction to Ann on this site.
Hopefully, FOX is thinking about replacing O’Reilly. His ratings are high but his show has become more and more tabloid crap like the stuff he did for Inside Edition.
Malkin wrote an email which was leaked to “Inside Cable” commenting on her break with O”Reilly’s show a few weeks back:

Subject: Re: Michelle no longer on the Factor?
I made the decision to quit appearing on the OReilly show in response to the poor handling of the Geraldo Rivera matter (the staged apology on The Factor was a complete farce). I wont go into details, but please know that your support means a lot to me. You can catch me on other Fox News shows and read my daily blog posts and weekly columns at MichelleMalkin.com.
Best,
Michelle
Same here. Laura will do a good job. What little social life she seems to have goes out the window...hope she has somebody around her dog, Lucy, given the hours she’s committing to work.
It is a travesty that Laura Ingraham is not treated to the same honors as Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin here on FR. It does her (and us) a disservice that it is so.
I hereby submit that Laura be initiated into that great pantheon of Conservative Babes on FR, and that the standard requirement be applied: That being PICS on any and all threads that bear her name.
Hmmm. Didn’t know that.
I did see the shows where O’Reilly just let Grrraldo rant and rave, and make the ugliest comments regarding Michelle Malkin.
Good for her. She has credibility.
Grraldo lost his with Al Capone’s nonsense.
Great news! I love her radio show, but she is even more enjoyable to watch!
