They won't let me post the link, because it's THE DAILY KOS!!! But it's a poll done for the Democrats, so this is really bad news.
If the 2008 election for U.S. Senate were held today, would you to reelect Susan Collins, would you consider voting for another candidate, or would you vote to replace Collins?
Reelect 55 Consider 20 Replace 21
If 2008 election for U.S. Senate were held today, for whom would you vote for if the choices were between Tom Allen, the Democrat, and Susan Collins, the Republican?
Collins (R) 56 Allen (D) 33
Throw in the polling info I've been posting, along with the Jindal election and the conservative victory over the "Nightmare" Act today, and folks, we're starting to move.
it keeps getting better. i just recently read where all of our candidates are leading in the New Mexico enate race. So long as Richardson does not get in.
Maybe folks in Maine didn’t want to stab our troops in the back?
Wonder if Richardson could run as Hill’s veep and the senate?
I do recall seeing a poll where Rep Heather Wilson was ahead of the Demo in NM by a tiny margin. This is good news considering some pundits would have us concede that seat right now. Unfortunately Wilson’s House seat is in jeopardy now.
Tye problem here is Tom Allen - he is Maine’s own Ned Lamont. He voted the staright party line about 99% of the time, never brought a bill of any note up and gets most of his campaign support from Moveon.org.
The Portland School Commitee and their supporters will vote for him, but that will be about it. Collins’ generally liberal views will croak any backlash.
I've been skeptical for a while that Collins was truly vulnerable. This poll seems to confirm that belief.
On the other hand, I do think our other New England Senator up for re-election (Sununu) is in big jeopardy of losing his seat.
Along with the Kerrey news is Nebraska, this is great to here.
I think Big Mo’ has now left the Democrats, and is swinging back the other way. I’d bet smart Democratic operatives are starting to get nervous.
” So long as Richardson does not get in.”
Everyone thinks Hillary is going to pick Obama as her Veep. See, I think she’s gonna tap Richardson, because he’s worked for the Clintons before, and the Dems think Hispanics are where the action is now.
Agreed...that’s exactly what I would expect Hitlery to do.
They'd have better success running moonbat Tom Andrews.
Oh, MAINE Senate poll...at first I was thinking Middle East...
Well, with some of the dhimmi candidates, it could’ve been...
Both Collins and Snowe voted today to pass the DREAM amnesty-by-proxy Act.
I will be spending every spare dime I can earn, and every spare minute of my days, to get them both thrown out of office and replaced with real conservatives.
Yeah, what I’ve seen of Sunnunu suggests he’s in trouble.
