Ok, she's not our favorite, but this has to be encouraging. She was considered "vulnerable." So in one day, the Hagel seat has tilted strongly our way with Kerrey deciding not to run, and the Maine seat has firmed up (if that's a legitimate term when discussing the linguine-spined Collins).

Throw in the polling info I've been posting, along with the Jindal election and the conservative victory over the "Nightmare" Act today, and folks, we're starting to move.

Maybe folks in Maine didn’t want to stab our troops in the back?

Tye problem here is Tom Allen - he is Maine’s own Ned Lamont. He voted the staright party line about 99% of the time, never brought a bill of any note up and gets most of his campaign support from Moveon.org.

The Portland School Commitee and their supporters will vote for him, but that will be about it. Collins’ generally liberal views will croak any backlash.

Good news.

I've been skeptical for a while that Collins was truly vulnerable. This poll seems to confirm that belief.

On the other hand, I do think our other New England Senator up for re-election (Sununu) is in big jeopardy of losing his seat.

Along with the Kerrey news is Nebraska, this is great to here.

I think Big Mo’ has now left the Democrats, and is swinging back the other way. I’d bet smart Democratic operatives are starting to get nervous.

Both Collins and Snowe voted today to pass the DREAM amnesty-by-proxy Act.

I will be spending every spare dime I can earn, and every spare minute of my days, to get them both thrown out of office and replaced with real conservatives.
