LOL. CO2 "driving temperature"

When I watched AlBore's crapumentary on TV, I saw the same thing. HIS charts clearly showed that CO2 was driven by temperature, the opposite of what he was saying.

I couldn't believe he was getting away with this until I realized the number of useful idiots that almost voted him and ,later, Johnny into office.

You want to see the parts of Al’s movie that are really TRUE?

Watch the intro: that fat guy really IS Al Gore.

Watch the credits: all those people really DID work on the film.

Oh, and I’m pretty sure the photo of the animal Al describes as a “polar bear” really IS a photo of a polar bear.

I woun’t say Al’s the Antichrist, but he’s DEFINITELY in the running for “False PROFIT”.

"After glaciers shorten by 800 meters over a 100 year span, hydrocarbon usage starts ramping up. Or maybe it's just that correlation does not imply causation."

The increase in hydrocarbon use was caused by off-road vehicles exploring the terrain exposed after the glaciers retreated. < /joke >

No, not quite.

You both have missed the obvious. Oprah is the Anti-Harpo.

Al Gore, the new Michael Moore of crockumentaries. Both big men with big egos, bank accounts and bullsh*t, here to fleece the sheep as white as snow.

Re: Error 9 Coral reefs "bleaching"

For starters, claiming global warming hurts corals is a dumb argument to begin with since corals have been on the planet for about 600 million years now and have survived way higher warming periods then the one we are going through now

But the Author blames El Nino / Southern Oscillation cycles.

Al Gore is still full of $¶!+ but the author's reason is incorrect.

It's an environmental problem alright but it has nothing to do with global warming. The real culprit is increasing outbreaks of these guys

The Crown of Thorns Starfish which eats coral leaving behind large dead bleached areas.

These outbreaks occur because of fertilizer & sewage run-off which causes algae blooms in which the juvenile CoT starfish feed on as well as its predators are being over-fished and over-harvested, both of which lead to population explosions of the CoT Starfish which decimate the corals

Relative links from the CRC Reef Research Centre

Crown-of-thorns starfish on the Great Barrier Reef (CRC Reef Research Centre)

CROWN-OF-THORNS STARFISH PLAGUE LINKED TO RUN-OFF(CRC Reef Research Centre)

This is one of many reasons if an environmentalist really cared about the environment they should be pissed at Al Gore and his buddies, by blaming it on Global warming and all his attention whoring, real environmental problems that can be fixed get drown out in the noise and get ignored. But then again environmentalism is not about saving the environment now is it.

Good stuff - thank you.

My sons are in middle and high school. We were discussing "Inconvenient Truth" just a couple of days ago. I printed out the original 9 errors from the judge, which they found very interesting. My older son watched part of the movie in his debate class, and my younger son makes sport of debunking global warming when one of his more gullible pals carries on about the world coming to an end. They'll love this.

I face this struggle as well. Just yesterday i had to tell my kids (5th grade) that there is no need for alarm and panic, that there is no catastrophic rise of water, and Greenland is not going to melt in a near future. Plus after all it would not be that bad if Greenland become green again. More fights to come.

Our 12-year old loved this. He’s taking it to school tomorrow for his current events assignment. I’ve warned him that most of his teachers probably take the global warming scare seriously, so tread diplomatically.
