David Copperfield designed part of his show around "a system for picking up women," which may explain the FBI's interest in his camera system and hard drive, sources told TMZ.
Last week, the FBI raided Copperfield's Las Vegas warehouse and seized digital camera equipment and a hard drive to a computer after a Seattle woman accused him of sexually assaulting her in the Bahamas.
During his show, Copperfield goes into the audience and chooses women to come on stage. If he likes a woman, he'll use code words with assistants like "mama" and "secrecy," TMZ reported.

The assistants mark the women on a map of the inside of the Hollywood Theater at MGM Grand. After the show, the women are brought backstage, and told that Copperfield may use them in his show when he comes to their hometown.
They are then photographed with a digital camera, asked questions like, "What is your favorite men's cologne?" and "Where do you like to vacation?"

Yeah, I remember the Don Johnson thing. That was too weird. And the weird thing is that nothing was really made of it. No one found that odd? The press sure didn’t.
If there was any internet link then it becomes their jurisdiction. (I was surprise to learn this too).
The alleged assault took place in the Bahamas. Why aren’t Bahamian authorities the ones investigating this then?
While it’s certainly a bit creepy if he uses staff and cameras to pick up women, I’m not sure what law this violates.
Sex yes, but rape, or anything really hinky, no. I wouldn’t report anything on any of the islands after the Holloway debaucle in Aruba. He’s American, she’s American, they left America and likely returned together, so she’s got grounds. Who’s to say she even had opportunity to leave his sight before or after the supposed crime took place? Too many ifs. One has to assume if it’s this high level it’s awful and may involve more than one victim.
S&R live on a 10 million dollar estate and have a life-time contract with the Mirage. They brought 1 bill into the Mirage. I don’t know how much they or Copperfield make respectively, but it’s hard to imagine someone making more than them.
I don’t understand this either. Celebrity uses his status to pick up attractive women? This is news? There has to be more to this.

If it is a he said-she said situation, I would never vote guilty. If there is no physicak evidence of forced sex, I don’t see how a prosecutor can even charge him, but this is the state of Washington.

And just why are you trying to convict the man before he is even charged with a crime. I really don’t think the FBI has any business in the case.
