Fox News Airs Abortion Documentary Saturday, Will Show an Abortion

New York, NY (LifeNews.com) -- The Fox News Channel is set to focus on the abortion choices of three women this weekend in a new documentary covering the sensitive issue. "Facing Reality, Choice" is set to air on Saturday evening and the show will focus on three pregnant women and their abortion choices, but it may not present the full facts of abortion.

"The show explores the abortion issue through the eyes of three women confronting what is undoubtedly the hardest decision they've ever made," Fox News says in a preview about the program.

It will feature Kayla, a 20-year-old pregnant student deciding whether to have an abortion; Jeanne, a 30-year-old mother of five who is struggling with drug addiction; and 26-year-old Brooke who has tried desperately to conceive.

Fox News also says the program "also shows an abortion procedure."

The news channel interviewed Dr. William Harrison, who gave an indication of the kind of morally mixed program viewers can probably expect.

"It is a moral crisis for them ... this is not a black and white issue," he said. "It's not something that you can say, you know, 'This is good and this is bad.' It's a mix ... The woman who's making that decision is the only person that can make that moral choice for herself."

According to the news station, Jeanne is weighing giving up her sixth baby for an adoption since she was adopted herself. "I mean all that's still playing in my mind, but in the back of my mind it's like, you know what, why go through with this all over again, you know just kinda ... just do it and get it done," Jeanne said.

Brooke apparently considers an abortion when doctors find her unborn child has a rare gene deformity and Kayla, a cosmetology student with a religious background, says she thought it was a blessing when she found out she was pregnant.

"I was excited," she said. "You know, my roommate was pregnant, so I was excited that we were going to be able to go through it together."

"Facing Reality, Choice," hosted by E.D. Hill and produced by Rachel Feldman, airs at 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 on the FOX News Channel.

The libs have no problem supporting the killing of an innocent young life but will stand in defiance along side murderer’s of innocent American citizens. They seek a more kinder, more human execution or even better, none at all. You see, the muderer is a victim too. SICK AND GETTING SICKER!

Yes. Yes, it does. However we watch our soldiers being blown up, we watch the fires burn — there IS death in the world, BUT if this finally getting on TV strikes a huge blow to legalized abortion then that poor innocent babe will not have died in vain.

BS!! Our society does not give any rights to people to make personal decisions based on your own morals to take the life of innocent human beings. In fact, we have a law against it.

If you have morals it's no decision at all. If your moral compass is so screwed up that you think it's okay to murder your child, then you don't need to be making any moral decisions on your own.

You’ll notice it’s the “woman’s choice” and not the “mother’s choice”. For it were the “mother’s choice”, the mother would be responsible for the killing of her child.

The issue of abortion can mandate the requirement to stipulate at what point the woman becomes the mother. It also begs the question at which point the man becomes the father. If it’s the case that neither the woman nor the man are the respective mother and father, than is the fetus not the states property.

I don't agree. As long as they show an ultrasound before the abortion. A clear ultrasound on a big monitor. The ones you see look like they are from old technology. I saw what my heart was doing very clearly on a big system monitor. No white plaque on any surface. People need to see little babies the same way.

I am doubtful this show will accurately reflect the holocaust that is abortion.

“Fox News Airs Abortion Documentary Saturday, Will Show an Abortion”

Is this really smart considering that Fozsnooze’ favorite RINO is pro-infanticide?

Bingo... let me guess, disability? No wait... remember the NYTs article of the multiple pregnancy, when the ‘woman’ wanted one or two of them salined/knocked off?
That was a huge reach.

Yeah, just like the drug addicted mother of five... I guess that’s a majority of abortions as well. Sounds like an eugenic argument for someone out there (can you say Soros and Open Society?, just like this IVF female possiblity sounds like a job for an engineering opening, or buzzword perfect... sustainable development);

Inter:
Speaking of which...
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1915182/posts

Moving on...

And we really don’t want to ruin that poor students life... do we? It’s not like the first two are responsible for consequences due to their actions? Oh no... Will it be interspersed with Gardasil commercials and how you can get contraceptives and Plan B into your child’s public school from age 11?

I can see Chapter Two now... A rape victim, incest victim, dying mother... even though that would be less than one percent of abortions.

To be real, how about... a sex offender bringing in a minor girl, a woman who says her man forced her to get an abortion or he’s leaving her (and he’s waiting right outside to make sure), a young woman on her sixth abortion... that uses it as birth control.

How about an internal camera so they can actually see it themselves... so when they see the tiny hands instead of the ‘ever popular blob of tissue’, they can ask if they learned anything after, and if Planned Parenthood or the clinic offered counseling after. /sarcasm

It would be great to hear their background... you know, where was their fathers when they grew up, how was the relationship between their parents... Maybe even talk to the guys for the first time in television history; No need for them to be ashamed right? It’s not like it’s not legal. Would they think someone would hold them responsible as well? Nah.

Some say better to see this than nothing at all...

Remember, the evil one can’t create, he steals, twists and mocks. Some truth... totally distorted.

Not only that...

You’d be surprised how many ‘public taxpayer dollars’ go to the consequences of their ‘private personal actions’.

(I almost put decisions... but that assumes they actually thought about keeping the clothes on before the act... silly me).

Meanwhile, they throw sex ed at our kids in school (of course we pay for that too, nevermind if it’s against your religion or common sense... this is their offering for Moloch). The sex offenders are having a field day with minors... you should see how many they take to clinics. BTW, has anyone seen the stats of sex offenses in public schools by teachers? Unbelievable.

I have mixed emotions about this, Bee. On the one hand, it could be that many people who may see this will be shocked and horrified. That may not be a bad thing.

I just read this review from someone at Variety Magazine, and they liked the special. It seems to me that it’s one of those things that tries to paint abortion as neither right nor wrong.....in other words, another liberal agenda pushing piece on abortion. Here’s the review....

Facing Reality: Choice
(Documentary — Fox News Channel, Sat., Oct. 27, 9 p.m.)
By BRIAN LOWRYExecutive producer, Brian Gaffney; producer, Rachel Feldman; executive editor, George Russell; editor, Kristi Kilkenny.

If only other programming on Fox News exhibited the understated restraint of “Facing Reality: Choice,” a special that avoids taking sides in chronicling young women’s experiences with unwanted or difficult pregnancies. Foremost, the conventional documentary draws attention to a fundamental but frequently overlooked aspect of this polarizing debate — that abortion often boils down to a no-win decision left to women who have already made terrible choices to put themselves in this predicament.
Indeed, the case studies in “Facing Reality” include a woman who seemingly treats pregnancy like just another trip to Wal-Mart — the kind of potential mother that even anti-abortion advocates would have to confess appears sadly ill-equipped for the responsibility of parenthood.

That would be Jeanne, 29, who has been in and out of rehab but also found time to birth five kids — none of whom live with her — when she learns that she’s carrying a sixth. Not much better off is Kayla, contemplating whether to become a single mom at 21 and how she’ll be viewed by fellow parishioners at her church.

Perhaps the most harrowing story focuses on a young couple that discovers their unborn child has a genetic abnormality that will almost surely be fatal within days of its birth, but they resist terminating the pregnancy because of their religious convictions.

Given the strident tone of Fox’s talking heads, “Facing Reality” approaches this divisive issue with surprising compassion, including an interview with a kindly-looking doctor who performs abortions. In doing so, the special almost inadvertently underscores how television tends to couch the abortion discussion in the harshest possible extremes, ignoring that most people reside somewhere in the middle — disliking the idea of terminating pregnancies but ultimately respecting a woman’s right to choose, albeit with restrictions on when and how.

Rival CNN has embarked on a campaign to produce more documentaries, while Fox has generally been content letting its primetime hosts keep the profit machinery churning. So credit the channel with dabbling in a more ambitious project as well as tackling a delicate subject with welcome sobriety. Allowed to continue, this is just the sort of thing that could undermine Fox’s chip-on-its-shoulder attitude by giving the network a good name.

Running Time: 60 MIN.

What a horrible theme. Do they not present the tireless efforts of Crisis Pregnancy Centers and churches in providing pregnant women a real choice?

Would they have showed Holocaust pictures but not made an opinion as to whether slaughtering Jews and millions of others was right or wrong? The good news is that the country is turning pro-life, regardless of the political party.

The reality is that, when it comes to abortion, all of the media (including FNC) sides with the pro-abortion crowd. E.D. Hill is the host of this program, and I’ve always gotten the sense that she is not a conservative when it comes to issues such as this. Now, if Lauren Green had been the host, perhaps the special would have a different message. Lauren is now pro-life, a position she did not take earlier on in her life. I think she said in a blog that her mind was changed by a man who’s last name is Nathanson......a former abortionist. He blew the whistle on the abortion industry and revealed the true horror of this injustice. I admire Lauren very much for being someone in the media who has the courage to say they are now pro-life. God Bless her.
