“California always has fires, often very bad ones. I dont really feel that sympathetic for people who build homes in places that are likely to burn.”
How much sympathy do you have for people who live in places that are likely to have tornados?
“Besides, it is California. I have really had enough of that state constantly having disaster after disaster and then expecting to get more off the government teet.”
Charming.
“Deal with your own stew.”
You’re sick.
It’s comforting that you’ll be confined to the misery of your own company for life. You earned it!
Whoever did this knew what they were doing, said Kris Concepcion, a fire authority battalion chief. Also, the fire traveled 3 miles in its first 20 minutes when it was ignited about 6 p.m. Sunday, he said.
A ten year old can tell wind direction, and speed. The statement is meaningless.
Thankfully, I am not one of the poor schnooks! I have so much coverage, my insurance agent is on speed-dial. I up my contents coverage reguarly, pay the higher premium for replacement cost, have riders for my jewelry, my computer, my data, my fur coat, my precious documents, with an umbrella, plus life policies on my three children, myself, and my spouse. I even bought identify theft insurance, to cover expenses up to $25K if someone steals my identity.
People think I am over-insured, crazy even.
I spent almost a decade helping people recover from disasters large and small. I know what happens to folks who are underinsured. My family also knows what it is like to bury a child.
I'm not crazy...I'm experienced.
Meanwhile, back on planet Earth, the NFL has been trying to figure out what to do about the Chargers game this Sunday.
I say let them play in London and just give a forfeit of the Dolphins to the Giants.
I don't want to make light of the issue of arson, or possibility of terrorist setting the fires, or the tragedy of the fires themselves...but...I am sooo tired of the Dems pointing fingers and trying to find blame with the administration for how this has been handled. And sooo tired of those same doomsday seekers trying to blame it on global warming. We can't even have a crisis set by some maniacs without the libs trying to make everything some political issue.
Don't they ever just look at the facts, and try to be helpful and resourceful before they open their mouths? Oh, my bad...of course I know the answer to that question.
But I did hear that Barbra Streisand's house was lost in the fire. I guess I should not gloat, any loss is tragic. However, I thought she has a place in another state on a ranch somewhere. Two houses - I guess evacuating did not put a big hurt on her. I wonder if she took some evacuees with her who were left homeless? Many of those Hollywood types have several homes, did any of them open their doors to those left without a place to stay? But we must support the poor on our middle-class incomes according to them, and the GOVERNMENT must help them, when the millionaires of Hollywood could easily afford to provide housing for many. And Barbra still has not left the country as she and James, and so many other libs promised they would in the last election when Bush won. They can't even be burned out! Whoops, my bad again!
I saw that KO coming.
From what I have seen via the local coverage, there was a liquid used to start the fire and some type of 'troughs'. The reason they downgraded from 3 start points to 2 start points is that they determined the trough of liquid that went to a third spot apparently was not involved with the initial fire. Perhaps a spilling of the liquid. Apparently this was a very sophisticated arson. Very rare for the fire department to hint that the perb 'might' be a fireman. Based on these MSM reports we should probably conclude that they were either a fire/arson professional or that they had experience/training setting fires.
Always have to put a disclaimer in. Never want to insinuate terrorism. That is a no-no. Barf.
Thanks so much for trying.
Surrender? Where have I heard that word before? Oh, that’s right. That’s the democrats motto.
I thought it might be real estate agents.
I came across this link and wondered if there were any homes in the affected region that had access to this stuff.
I am in no way affiliated with the company, just thought it might be of interest.
No, they’re called “Santa Ana winds.”
