I dont know where you live. Are you safe?I'm safe from any of the fires that are currently burning. We had a brush fire near our house a few weeks ago. It wasn't windy and it was out by morning. As a result of that fire, a lot of the brush that would fuel a fire in our neighborhood is already burned out.

It’s odd sometimes how God builds a firebreak for us that seems at the time to be a bad thing.

Dear Sooty, After living in So. Cal. for 40 years of my life, I can tell you that you are wrong. The winds are called Santa Anas; not Santanas. They are devilish all right, and they are destructive. Just in case you would like to read about the SANTA ANA winds, here's an article.

I just don’t get why someone would do this to other people.

An underlying problem with the CA fires, NOLA drowning, Atlanta drought*, etc. is that society in general has this crazy notion that people can build anything they want where they want and expect no consequences - and if there are horrible consequences, somehow it's the government's fault.Well said.

..Fire officials are now stating that the Orange County Santiago fire was purposely set and there is speculation that other fires may have also been deliberate. See Interactive Map... It does not surprise me a bit. In a country as wacko and stupid as this can be sometimes - where illegals come in demanding rights - and the criminals become 'media starts' as a result of crimes. WHY NOT?
If it were up to me, I would hang the guilty 'Iraqi Style.' :)

“The MSM will drop this story stat within the next two weeks - Just like the VA University shooting - Once it didn’t fit the template (of attacking the GOP / or advancing a DEM cause) it was dropped!”
You obviously don’t read the Virginia MSM. The story’s hardly been dropped, amd in fact it still shows up in places like the Wapost and NYT.

I predict we’ll find out these fires were set by a liberal Islamic illegal alien eco-terrorist who is a volunteer firefighter and building contractor and was about to default on a sub-prime mortgage. You’ll see.

I predict well find out these fires were set by a liberal Islamic illegal alien eco-terrorist who is a volunteer firefighter and building contractor and was about to default on a sub-prime mortgage. Youll see.
The guy suspected of being about to start a fire in San Bernardino who rammed police and was shot and killed by them has been named as Russell Davis of Topoc, Arizona.
I was sorely tempted to post a fake article this morning that the guy was IDed as "Mohammed Sanchez" and was found wearing an Earth Liberation Front T-Shirt, with an expired green card and a membership card for the Phoenix Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual Organization in his wallet, but I resisted the temptation. I think the joyful responses would have crashed FR anyway.

No doubt.

I can’t say what I’m thinking, but I bet others are thinking it, too.

Its the Rich "white" Californians who employ the illegals. Not a good motive.
Methinks ecoterrorists.

Islam is a religion. Not an ethnicity. And there is nothing to stop them from hiring stooges, obviously.
