Fred's view on China's long march doesn't make Duncan Hunter a more viable candidate to win the primary.

You'll eventually come to grips with that sooner or later.

This story says that he had two banks, the House Bank and the Bank of Coronado. I’d bet my right hand, that he would write himself checks from his House Bank checking account, which didn’t have any funds in it, to cover pending transactions at his Bank of Coronado account which had insufficient funds. That is the definition of check kiting or circular check kiting. He probably didn’t do it in time and that is why he is mentioned as having overdrafts at his Bank of Coronado. Rinse, repeat as desired.

So in other words you don't really care what your candidate's stance is as long as he's electable? Them's some real fine principles ya got there.

The phony conservatives are expending a lot of time and effort dissing a great conservative like Hunter.
***Yes, It feels like FR has been infiltrated, the CINOs are past the wire. I’ve been on a few threads where I’ve basically been saying that if Hunter really is just a 1%er, why waste time on him? I always thought Tommy Thompson was a was 1%er and there were even times when his numbers beat Hunter, but I never bothered to try to knock him down.

This shows 2 things: 1) the folks doing the knock-down are faux conservatives, and in better days on Free Republic, JimRob would have handed them their hats; and 2) that Hunter really is above 1% but the MSM is torquing the polls so that he doesn’t show up. This has happened in the past — nearly every pre-primary poll has been shown to be MSM biased to the point of being bogus.

What can we do about this? I’ve been pushing unconventional strategies from the very beginning, such as naming a VP candidate who could bring name recognition (like Rice, Coulter, Dobson). I brought in Sam as a Freeper, Pissant brought in Duncan Hunter. If this is the true state of conservatism today, I mourn for America as a nation.

I'm not trying to "diss" Duncan Hunter, I am for FDT, and just can't let these threads stand un-challenged when they go into the DH is christ re-born, pure as the driven snow, has never stepped on a crack, is more conservative than Reagan, etc.... La La land that they naturally devolve into. And your tagline is hilarious. How in Odin's Beard is a guy that isn't even polling among Republican voters above 1% going to beat Hillary who is going to get at least 45% of the entire vote??? Let me do the math for you, 1% of the 50% of this country who would vote for a Republican is 0.5%. 0.5% will lose to 45% every time it's tried. Puff, puff, give. You can choose your favorite color.

I fear the only man who would do something about our bad trade treaty with China, and China’s threat to America is Duncan Hunter, the man they say cannot win the nomination.

When the election is over, just watch the China chatter quiet down, no matter which Party wins. Then China will be quietly calling all the shots in America.

I’ve been watching the Hunter groups in both Myspace and Facebook and Hunter has been growing in both. At Facebook his numbers are rising despite the fact that they won’t list him as a presidential candidate.

Also interesting is the fact that the members of both those groups are primarily young voters who are sick of the status quo from both parties.

"Please do bet your right hand."

Ding, ding, ding, Calpernia is out of ideas. Come now, please continue to argue against the common sense that God should have bestowed upon you. I want to hear you try to convince me that the banking practices weren't all that bad. I want to hear you try and convince me that the system they had in 1992 was as moral, upright, and as pure as Mother Theresa's virtue. And if that system was so chock full of integrity and honesty and character, why then did they completely overhaul that system and do away with the practice of kiting checks???? I await your response with bated breath.

Someone is going to have to become more realistic about the threats posed by China and Russia. The Cold War is back, except this time the old Communist powers have adopted elements of a market economy, the sort of economic structure Nazi Germany had. Duncan Hunter is the only one among the GOP candidates who recognizes the threat. (The Democrat candidates never saw a UN initiative they didn't like; their motto should be America Last.) The rest (except Paul, who is blindsided in foreign policy by his libertarian ideology) strain at the gnat of Muslim terrorists while missing the Chinese and Russian elephants. Minus Russia, China, and their satellites, Ahmadinejad, Assad, and bin Laden would be no threat to the U.S. and our allies.

If not Hunter, then someone must step up to the plate, especially in our own hemisphere, where anti-American, Marxist regimes have made more progress than at the peak of the Cold War.

I have an opinion. You have an opinion too.

The only difference is that I can handle you having an opinion different from mine. You get bent out of shape.

Probably not your fault, being a Republican from NYC and all.

I just sent him a donation.

He is far and away the best candidate in the race.

Did you read his debate responses? Awesome.

He’s a real conservative, a real American, a real man.
