I met Reagan Fred is no Reagan
Reagan was remarkable.
I can’t imagine Reagan voting against convicting Clinton either. Fred does not impress me, especially after finding his statement regarding the Senate vote to convict Clinton. I want someone who knows the VALUE OF KICKING EVIL IN THE ASS!! I just don’t see it in Fred, but boy did I ever see it in Reagan.
Fred’s philosophy:
Not sure I want the job, would take it if the American people want me to. (Shades of Gorge Washington).

That down-home “twang”, and his general, no nonsense, personality, says it all for me.

Fred is quite accomplished and would do a good job IMO.
I wish people would stop trying to make Fred Thompson into Ronald Reagan. He isn’t...and that’s not necessarily his “fault,” but rather, that Reagan was unique and there is no one out there who can replace him or be anything like him. I’m not trying to slam Thompson — he’s likeable and maybe he would kick some butt if he were President. I don’t know yet whether he’s the man for the job or someone else. But I know he’s not Reagan and the comparisons are making me nuts.
