UPDATE: The city of Malibu is advising residents in Puerco Canyon to begin evacuating due to a wildfire driven by powerful winds. This area is north of Pacific Coast Highway and about 1 mile west of Pepperdine University. Residents along the beach on Malibu Road may soon be evacuated. Pacific Coast Highway is closed between Kanan-Dume Road and Topanga Canyon. Residents are advised to head to the west. Evacuation centers are being set up in the Zuma Beach area.
A wildfire driven by powerful winds in the Malibu Hills this morning threatened a university, destroyed at least one home and forced the evacuation of hundreds more, authorities said.

That is a small screen.
I can’t imagine trying to watch football on your set.
Then again on our 60 inch you see alot of male rumps during the game.
But regardless of screen size I am with you all the ticker headlines and logo’s are distracting and they never put the name up of the people talking long enough to catch.

They expect to house and care for 500 to 1,000 horses.

I just opened e-mail from a friend in WA state, says Spokane is sending firefighters, equipment, etc.
You’ve got that right. I went out long enough to scan around and came right back in. I’m not going back out there now. There’s a lot of that black gritty stuff and some white ash falling now.

Global2010, this area was once a vast stretch of Spanish “ranchos,” not THAT long ago I guess, a very few original buildings still stand.

I am a state away up North and it is making me sick to my stomach to see all the destruction.
It is all over whelming, yet those living in and through it have been stellar.
Breath easy. I worry about all the things burning and the effects on all ya’lls pulomonary health.
She is such an embarrassment to this state... I would work really hard to bump her out of office if we could find a good candidate to put up....

During a big fire west of Denver in the 90’s, people who couldn’t evacuate their horses or had to leave them in other areas spray painted their phone numbers on them.
when those opposed to Hunter blasted him for rebuilding a bigger home that was a low blow.

What he built was modest and some tried to make it look like he was building an expensive huge home.
I remember seeing his new home on the news. IIRC it was withen what other homes in the area in size and price.
At one time California was an independent country. Can you name the other two states that were also independent nations?
