I second the nomination of Bahbah for an award this week.

LOL. I'm blushing. I will say, however, that I do believe I would be a better president of the United States than Joe Biden.

The Ron Paul “movement” is being organized by HilaryCare HQ to create another Perot. Unfortunately RP is no Ross Perot. To be taken more seriously at the next debate he has decided to wear a Twirly Tie and a Squirting Flower.

Pray for W and Our Troops

Trust me....I don’t like Rudy, Romney...not so much.

But whatever the case, I will do my part to keep Hillary unelected.

Call me naive but I think true American conservatives are brave enough to do what has to be done.

This country, the world...does not need Hillary.

Am I too optimistic?

Thanks guys. Look I don’t agree with everything Rudy says or does and I know his past record.

But then I feel the same way about all of them. But we ALL have to do a reality check here and stop this 100%’er or nothing attitude.

There are flaws with all the serious (i.e. NOT Ron Paul) candidates for the Republican nomination.

We can ALL find something not to like with all of them.

But I tell you what...even with his flaws...I’d vote for W again in a heart beat if it was him against any of the Dems running for the office in 2008.

You can still read some of Pat Paulsen's 'Editorials' at the website maintained in his memory.

I tend to agree, especially with this.

Where we keep the Republican President in check if he’s not exactly the person we’d prefer...but the one we support anyway...is to make sure we elect Representatives and Senators that will pass the legislation that is best for the people and this country...then the President has no choice but to go along.

This, of course, is where we save ourself in the event of a President Hillary, too. Taking back Congress is at least as important as putting a conservative in the White House. When it comes to domestic policy, it's clearly more important.

For all you activists, the race for your House district is just as worthy of your efforts as is the race for the White House. Even if you're in a "safe" Democrat district, find someone to run anyway. If you can't, maybe think about running yourself. Who knows, maybe you can at least force the Democrats to spend money they wouldn't otherwise have had to spend.

The talking heads are predicting double-digit gains in the House and a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate for the Democrats. If they get that, does anyone think it'll matter who the GOP nominee is?

Actually, there is nothing I can do about that, but fight for a better candidate now.

No Fish...you can never too optimistic.

Reagan was optimistic enough to see the shining city upon the hill in the midst of the Carter mess.

Judged against that...you and I and other Conservatives can NEVER bee “too optimistic”.

We will do whatever needs to be done to preserve this last and greatest bastion of freedom.

Very True that many Republicans will realize sooner or later that W is a successful Consevative than the leading Republican candidates.

And did anyone else catch what Walid Jumblatt said toward the end of the interview, after Wolf asks what the US can do?

"As long as we have this tyrant, this butcher in Damascus alive, we won't be able to have democracy in Lebanon."

Hey, I wouldn't mind clipping Assad, either.

And then of course support the eventual Republican nominee against Hillary or Obama right?

Bahbah,

Plum Buckle recipe or not, we have to go to a corner and talk.

Joe Biden is mine own fine Senator and go on, for a little state we sure got a big-mouth senator, eh? He also signed the Rush Limbaugh smear letter, such a happening fellow he is.

Now you keep casting aspersions on my man Joe thus I must give you even more news.

Ole Joe’s son, Beau...is now Delaware’s Attorney General. He shouldn’t have won, he failed the bar exam, he’s young enough to almost be my grandson, he had no experience. His last name, however, was Biden. The dead folks in Wilmington thought it was their man Joe is all I can figger.

The pubbies had a guy going against him and we almost pulled it out but hey, Delaware has the worst schools in the 50 states so a Biden is a Biden and it must be Joe. Beau? Maybe that’s a fancy way of spelling “Joe”?

So guess what Beau’s been doing with our state tax dollars?

He’s got all kinds of campaigns going on about old people getting taken by Nigerians and what-not.

Well damn....can’t fix the prisons and psychiatric institutions which are falling apart, prisoners escaping, sexual abuse rampant in the mental hospitals....all by union workers paid for on the taxpayer dime. Nope. Cause who’s going to complain about that kind and gentle guy named Joe but it might be Beau...protecting helpless old people for God’s sake?

Joe...er, Beau, got a whole team of PR folks and he is being carved and crafted into a fine example of liberal humanity that your eyes will blink in his presence.

So stop making fun of Beau...er Joe...because he has reproduced. If us idiots won’t elect Joe...or is it Beau? then his spawn shall govern our huddled masses.

Knock it off.

Colbert is a one trick donkey who gets airtime because of his politics. Short shelf life.

I also agree here. The time to express our preferences or disagreements is during the primaries. That is what they are for. If the one I vote for in the primary is nomonated, thats’great. If not I will vote for the Republican nominee. I won’t stay home and give the dem a pass and I won’t vote for a 3rd party which would in essence be a vote for the dem. One issue voters were responsible for the election of Clinton and apathetic voters kept him in office. I pray to God every day that we don’t go through that again. I fear our country cannot survive another Clinton or any other democrat president.

No it won’t. And a nightmare scenario has repercussions that ripple out and affect more than just what happens to us domestically with the enonomy...healthcare...taxes...etc.

It can't be said any better than that. That is what this is all about. We have had almost 10 months to be reminded what democrats would do to this country. They would have us lose in Iraq (which would not end the war we're in), tax us to death, control our health care, tell us what kind of lightbulbs we have to use, and on and on. If they get a democrat president, they may well be unstoppable and we just can't let that happen.

Rudy will not be the candidate.

However, if he is, (and he won’t be I tell you), we should all vote for him.

Or we will burn in 4 years of hell.

Kasparov doesn't think Putin is actually going to run for Prime Minister, but that he'll retain power as head of the United Russia party, which Kasparov calls the "analog to the Communist Party."

Now they're going over all the dead journalists.

If Colbert is trying to imitate Pat Paulsen of years past (anyone remember him?) he needs to go back to the drawing board.

Let's not forget that Pat Paulsen had the Smothers Brothers format to play off of, which is a much more deliberately funny format than the Sunday morning talk shows.

Oh, to see Dick explain a puma to Tom one more time.
