Guillermo Habacuc Vargas had 2 children catch this dog. He paid the kids for this. He then chained the dog and used the dog as art. He told everyone not to feed this dog. The dog died in the gallery. He calls himself an artist. "

This makes my heart hurt and my stomach sick. I hope this man dies of an incurable wasting disease and that nobody cares.

From the comments at the link.
"If he would have starved himself ini a gallery with images of starving children, it would have been more of an artistic statement." No, it wouldn't have. It would have been political not artistic. The original display isn't art either.
I again point real art lovers to the avowed goals of the communist party as presented to the US Congress in 1963:
22) Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all form of artistic expression. 'Eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward, and meaningless forms.'
23) Control art critics and directors of art museums. 'Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art'.
'nuff said.

This is not a humor ping.
This so-called artist should burn in hell, along with everyone who stood by and watched the dog starve.
I have not looked at the pictures, and will not.

I couldn't have said it better myself.
Although, might I suggest that instead of being bludgeoned to death, he should just be chained in an art gallery and allowed to starve to death 'in the name of art'.
I wonder if he'd be such an artiste then.

After reading a few comments, I just can't bring myself to look at the pictures.
I do wonder at least once a day "what is wrong with people like this?"

I'm convinced that most of "modern art" is a joke, set along the lines of "The Emperor's New Clothes." You start with someone who claims to be a "serious artist." Next you have a critic who's actually a failed "artist" who hates artists with talent, yet his or her's confidence has been shaken as to what makes "good art." When the "serious artist" tells the critic of "his vision," the critic immediately agrees and trumpets the wonder of this "art."
Seriously, I'm convinced that the measure of "art" for most critics is, "if I don't understand it, it must be good."

THIS is real Vargas art:
ALBERTO Vargas, that is.
March 1943 ... "Actually, though, it was "Varga" who was popular. The name had been shortened to make it appear more exotic".
