Never did we think that this letter would bring money of this nature --
We, Harry? WE????? You had nothing to do with this, Senator.

I think we should hold a fundraiser contributing a dollar for every time someone says that Senator Reid is an idiot. Millions will be in the making.
And that’s $1 from me.

ROTFLMAO!!!!! I’m surprised Harry hasn’t claimed that he was in on this with Limbaugh all along as a way of raising money for our guys in uniform.

Since Reid is taking credit, then no doubt he will match the winning bid.
Rush needs to announce on the air this coming Monday that “rumor has it” Reid will match the winning bid. This will give Reid fits. LOL

Dingy Harry has turned the Senate into an Animal House Fraternity.
Thank you Mr. Limbaugh sir. I'll have another.

Reminds me of the last scene in Dragonslayer, (a terrible movie, don’t waste your time) where the king rides up in a cart and gingerly places his sword tip on the neck of the dead dragon, while the bloodied warrior stands there and watches him take all the credit.

"But without qualification, Mark May, the owner of the network that has Rush Limbaugh, and Rush Limbaugh should know that this letter that they're auctioning is going to be something that raises money for a really worthwhile cause." They already knew that...Rush is the one who picked the charity, not you, Senator Reid.
Rush is right -- this is indeed Orwellian, an alternate universe.

“How come not one Republican signed it? They had a couple of days to do this. I tell you, that’s an amazing statement. Had we had more time, well, was it not worth taking the time, if this was such an important issue?”
IT WASN’T AN IMPORTANT ISSUE.

I don’t understand how Rush sees this as a concession by Reid. Reid is clearly trying to make it sound like he and the RATS were partners in the EBAY deal. Rush should be outraged.

Democrats are so self centered they will probably say it fetched so much because of the popularity of the 41 Senators that signed it.
They will start fighting over whose signature made it worth so much.
If it had been up to those senators, Rush would have been kicked off the air and nobody would have contributed to the charity. How much personal money have these senators given to charities that help the military.
None probably - they are too busy giving their money to code pink and move on and abortion and environment,

Bidding on this ended a couple hours ago. A letter signed by Hillary, Obama, Reid, and Kennedy goes for $2,000,000 on eBay and I see nothing about this at cnn.com abcnews.com or cbsnews.com. Today’s reminder that the media sucks. Meanwhile, the Daily Kos Kooks are trying to spin this as an “apology” by Rush.
