US Internet search engines in China were being hijacked and directed to Chinese-owned Baidu, analysts said Wednesday, speculating that this may be retaliation for the White House award to exiled Tibetan leader the Dalai Lama.

Analysts at Search Engine Roundtable, a website focusing on Internet search, said Chinese users trying to search on Google, Yahoo and Microsoft websites were being directed to the Chinese search engine.

"It seems like China is fed up with the US, so as a way to fight back, they redirected virtually all search traffic from Google, Yahoo and Microsoft to Baidu, the Chinese based search engine," the analysts wrote.

Kind of reminds me of Turkey throwing a conniption fit over the genocide bill. Especially coming after these words;

The United States has "gravely undermined" relations with China by giving the Dalai Lama an award, the Chinese government said Thursday.

So, when things are relatively good with the Chinese, they simply hack our military. But when we shed light on their abuses, they hijack our businesses in China. I'm starting to warm to Duncan Hunter's idea of reciprocal trade practices.

I worked with a rather gifted IA tech in Iraq in 2004 who wrote programs to identify and track hackers attacking the NIPR net there. He said they were Chinese and he wrote some programs which automatically hacked them back. Once he obtained the IPs of the gateways, originating boxes and network devices he was able block them. Unfortunately, he left after his year was up.

Now, stop and think how these programs can be modified to a Proxy type server, masked, when they have their scripting repackaged and distributed through our current system providers.

It might get obvious with a series of Proxy errors. LOL

Not really. If it is scripted in, proxy transfers can occur clean. Errors only show in hostile instances. We have Communication providers that have offices in China. When scripting is created to transfer as part of the program, it won’t produce errors.
