Wow! I was on an archeological dig in Southern Moravia in 1976, as a college student. We dug up some pottery bits and artifacts from about the 10th century (AD), but nothing approaching this age. This gentle land has seen a lot of human history.

It’s Hillary Clinton’s ankles!

It looks to confirm something else for the first time. Cartoon characters, specifically Fred Flintsone did exist.

Incredible. Thanks for posting the photo.
I have never visited that wonderful country. I look forward to being able to go there one day.

The model for the statue is still alive!

The hollow legs and haunch of the female statue, made of ceramic, originate in 4,800 - 4,700 B.C., MfD wrote. I was so stunned to find out what a "haunch" was, LOL.

You know, it’s a term I’ve heard many times during my life, but I don’t know precisely what it is either.

LOL
It's your hips, thigh and upper leg area. The general sitting/crouching portion of the anatomy. It's what jihadis sit on while hiding in ditches waiting for an opportunity to make "whoopie" in an afterlife with their 72 Helen Thomas's.

My guess would have been the portion of the leg just above the knee. Guess I wasn’t too far off.
Thank you.

I don’t know if I have heard of a human haunch before, it was usually an animal haunch... as in “the dog fell back on his haunches when I stopped tugging on his play ring”.
The partial figure looks like modern art.

It’s a Gort prototype!
