That isn’t the point. The $1 a year rent was meant to honor this organization and what it stands for. That is, when things were decent and moral.
Plenty of other cities and towns in the area will be grateful for the jobs, and will pony up FREE office space.

Did you miss the fact, that although the city owns the land, the scouts built the building in 1928, in return for the $1 year rent?

Well, thinking that the “subsidy” to the BSA comes back as the world’s best bargain in social services, compared to most of the gov’t programs.
