Now the city can move in the Gay,Lesbian,Transgendered & I Don’t Know What Alliance into the same building for $1 a year.
You'd think that a city that averages a murder a day would have better things to worry about.

excerpt: “Romulo L. Diaz Jr., the first openly gay appointee for Philadelphia city solicitor, never thought about hiding his sexual orientation when his appointment was announced last week.
“I know who I am, and I’m confident about who I am, which includes my sexual orientation,” Diaz told PGN. “And, frankly, I don’t want to be a member of any club that doesn’t accept who I am.”

The city of Brotherly Love?
Come one...say it ain’t so!
SO the new rent proposed breaks down to 16,666.66 per month. I wonder if all those 6’s had anything do do wiht determining the value of the rent.
Come on BSA...get out of the entitlement handout scenario. many churches are providing your space at the local level at no charge. This alone should allow ou to buy a steel building in a BSA-friendly community and never have to deal with the “brotherly love” crowd any more!

These Boy Scout families will not now be able to afford health insurance for their children.

"Currently, the rent is $1 a year...." But I'll bet they would rent the space to homosexual organizations for the original $!/year amount.

Philadelphia has always been corrupt and unsafe but lately they also want to become a mecca for rump rangers.

The rent might be $1 per year, but the maintenance of the building, grounds and utilities run a whole bunch more. The same can be said of the Balboa Park Scout camp in San Diego where the Scouts operate and maintain the facility. It is open to the public as well as use by the Scouts. Chase the Scouts out and the liability will fall on the taxpayers. There plenty of church organizations that would be happy to host the Scouts. It's the taxpayers and public that enjoy use of the facilities at the Scout's expense that will be fleeced for this support of the perverted gays.
There are private parties in Southern California that are hosting the Scouts on their property to put them out of reach of the shrill leftists that seek to run them off any use of "public" property. The Scouts (and their parents) are taxpayers too.
As a resident of San Diego, I had to cover the costs of law enforcement used at gay pride parades. That expense far exceeds any support the Scouts received from the city. The gay loving city council is blind to that detail.

Reprisels against the children because of the actions of their adults. The Nazis did even do that in Liditz when they wiped a village of the map. They killed the adults but spared the children.

So, is the land worth $200,000 per year, or is the city trying to charge rent on the Boy Scouts own building?
To: Pyro7480
So, the city does not support freedom of assembly or association? Oh, I forgot, the BSA is a “traditionalist” group.

Philadelphia used to be friendly to all that is good and honorable. Hence the $1 rent for a positive and universally (at least in the past) acclaimed service group like the Boy Scounts.
Now, Philadelphia is run by corrupt, perverse scoundrels. Is it any surprise that they're willing to yank their previous patronage of the Scouts to try to force them to admit pillow-biters?
By their fruits and all that...

the city engaging on thug tactics. asking the boy scouts to lower moral standards or pay the price?
To: Pyro7480
I’ve never heard anything about the Boy Scouts refusing to admit gay scouts—I’ve just heard they didn’t want gay scout leaders. But then it’s hard for me to wrap my mind around a scout being sexually active, much less homosexually active. I would think any kind of sexual activity outside marriage would violate the oath of a Scout.
