Who needs to wait for another hyped-up "War on Christmas?" It's only mid-October. And we're already in the thick of a breathless national "Assault on Halloween." Consider yourself warned, you precious little trick-or-treaters, you toilet-paper-tossing miscreants: Two weeks before the greatest kids' holiday of the year, a bunch of nay-saying grownups are hell-bent on spoiling the fun. Apparently, every major holiday has to be a major controversy now!

So do adults.
Now that I'm older I find the ghoulishness, the fascination with death and evil to be tasteless and unappealing.
But I'm not going to protest it or try to make people stop celebrating it. It's not that big of a deal to me.
Halloween= Adult female dress like a whore day!
What in the world is “Halloween”?
At my kid’s school, they celebrate “Fall Festival”.
And, of course, Ramadan.
Around here, the recent immigrants from Asia seem to really get into the spirit of decorating for Halloween.
THe PC garbage is absolutely out of control....damn commies...grrrrrrrr

Above URL goes to The Monsterlist of Halloween Projects is the most complete collection
of links to pages with do-it-yourself projects on them that I have ever seen.
These are not your little kids Halloween crafts, every scary devious seriously
spooky prop and project designed for truly scaring people is listed here.
Most importantly, the list is checked periodically for accuracy.
This is not an all-inclusive list of everything Halloween, the Monsterlist has no
popup ads or sponsors, it is a volunteer site and will stay that way.

Sad to say, but "whatever Mo wants, Mo gets" is getting to be a truism pretty much everywhere.
You would think this would be a favorite holiday with the the radical libs.
1-There is no mention of God or religious articles posted on lawns and doors.
2-None of them have to buy costumes, they’re scary enough!
3- Trick or treat is a phrase they invented, we have been tricked for years and they have treated us to the ongoing ruination of America.
4-Murtha and Ted are the two biggest pumpkin heads in government.
and lastly Hillary is truly the wicked witch of the west
What in the world is Halloween?
-
a pagan holiday
It’s all in fun and the old pumpkins only go in the green roll-out in the morning anyway.
Just exactly what is being “celebrated” under the “Halloween” rubric? Whatever it is, it generates an ugodly amount of expense and effort in garish displays, for weeks prior to the end of October.
A Roman Catholic celebration of All Saints Day, a catch-all observance devoted to notables that have not been awarded a special festival day denoted by the name of a particular so-called “saint,” gave rise to calliing the prior day the Eve of All Hallows, ergo “Hallow even” or “Hallow e’en,” or “Halloween.”
But what has that to do with witches, goblins, black cats, and other weird stuff?
“At my kids school, they celebrate Fall Festival.”
Oh, for Pete’s sake! What’s October without a bag of candy and a few smashed pumpkins?
Well there are some fundies who hates halloween..
I’m always glad when Halloween is over. I just wish it were over for good. It’s a silly and largely tasteless waste of time. And death is not so funny if a loved one happens to die just before Halloween, is it.
We were born to mothers who smoked and drank
Our cribs were covered in lead based paint
No child proof lids no seat belts in cars
Rode bikes with no helmets and still here we are, still here we are
We got daddys belt when we misbehaved
Had three TV channels you got up to change
No video games and no satellite
All we had were friends and they were outside, playin outside
Chorus
It was a different life
When we were boys and girls
Not just a different time
It was a different world
School always started the same every day
The pledge of allegiance then someone would pray
Not every kid made the team when they tried
We got disappointed and that was all right, we turned out all right
Chorus
Bridge
No bottled water, we drank from a garden hose
And every Sunday, all the stores were closed
Chorus
Chorus
It was a different world
