I like the Stan Freeburg version.
"When did he grow to be so tall?
Wasn't it yesterday, when they were small?"
That's when I lost it.
Hi RDTF,why you ducking:) Slave to Love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSqGwOmKEwU

M*A*S*H - Suicide Is Painless I always hated that show.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgYP2PWL
Arby’s LOL!
I know Timber’s loss still aches.
Hugs ...
Good evening Fatima~
Let me add John Williams Artificial Intellgence..most of the songs are absolutely beautiful.
Most of the James Bond movie sountracks (sean connery) - are great as well.
Earlier years: the great Rogers and Hammerstein musicals..and even earlier the great Cole Porter and George Gershwin’s music in for exmaple “King of Jazz” in Rhapsody in Blue (1930)
‘42 was a good year for movie music “White Christmas” and “As Time Goes By” from Casablanca
*sniff*
Thank you, sweetheart..
One of the few songs that when I hear it, takes me back to a better place and time. Saw the movie for the first time back in the late 50s (at a local theater) while living in Kansas, of all places, as a military brat.
Thanks for the hugs. Always needed and appreciated.
Thanks... for some reason it’s the first one that came to mind when I saw the thread...I remember it from 9 1/2 weeks, LOL!
I have a terrific Roxy Music greatest hits CD that I bet I’ve had for 20 years.
Great music,Thanks bleach.John Williams - Theme from The Magnificent Seven (Bernstein)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PETEgnaXcg
Evening my.
Miserlou is a great song...Traditional Greek folk song...Unknown age.
I did not see it but I did find this,The Searchers trailer (John Wayne) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHWzLo3ygNk
"You played it for her, you can play it for me!"
Excellent film.
There definitely would've been more to comment on had I found the list of nominees instead of just the winners!
I can hear the groans already, because most think it was overplayed on the airwaves- BUT- Celine Dion’s ‘ My Heart Will Go On’ from Titanic. The movie I didn’t like, the song blew me away, and still does. I am in awe of that woman’s voice. I never get tired of hearing it.
I want a serious ,powerful ballad from Celine and Josh Groban.
I’d put my stereo up so high the paint would peel from the walls!
Movie Scores (Soundtracks): Some of the best and most memorable were by Bernard Herrmann - Citizen Kane - his first, The Day The Earth Stood Still, Vertigo, North by Northwest, Psycho, Taxi Driver - his last. I have a CD of selections from his music - it’s great.
Volare from The Hollywood Knights. ;)
