Let me add John Williams Artificial Intellgence..most of the songs are absolutely beautiful.
Most of the James Bond movie sountracks (sean connery) - are great as well.
Earlier years: the great Rogers and Hammerstein musicals..and even earlier the great Cole Porter and George Gershwin’s music in for exmaple “King of Jazz” in Rhapsody in Blue (1930)
Movie Scores (Soundtracks): Some of the best and most memorable were by Bernard Herrmann - Citizen Kane - his first, The Day The Earth Stood Still, Vertigo, North by Northwest, Psycho, Taxi Driver - his last. I have a CD of selections from his music - it’s great.
