Freeper Do the Dhue spent all night on the following two Mother Freep entries:
WEE WILLIE CLINTON
"Wee Willie Clinton runs through the town
Upstairs and downstairs in his nightgown
Tapping at the window
And crying through the lock
Are all the interns in their beds, it's past eight o'clock?"
Excellent word painting, my dear Dhue. The visual is frightening.
ITZY DITZY TRAITORS
"Itzy Ditzy Traitors went to DC to spout
Down came the surge and washed the terrorist out
Out came the Eagles and they Gathered in DC
Now the Itzy Ditzy Traitors know, a Patriot they will never be"
This rhyme clearly plumbs the infernal depths in both poetic meter, grammar and punctuation. However, the thought is so clear, so topical, so patriotic, so passionate that "Itzy Ditzy Traitors" will clearly be a leading contender for Worst Mother Freep Nursery rhyme.
Good (or bad, whichever) luck to you, Do the Dhue....and many thanks for devoting a good part of your evening to the FReepathon fundraiser!

Your "Jack and Jill" and "Little Miss Muffett" parodies in #'s 147 and 148 clearly show that Hillary is your Muse of Poetry.
Two subtle word plays in the J & J rhyme earn you extra plum pudding points! Your prospects for winning are sweet!

Your "Old King Bill" (#155) describing his cigar events was both Claro and Perfecto.
No ifs or butts, you evince a great sense of humidor.
Thanks for this entry....you Havan-A !

Re: Your rhyme in #164 to the tune of "Three Blind Mice" is a great anti-'Rat ode and should be sung at the Republican convention next year.
Concerning your tag line, your brave Marine hubby must be very proud of YOU.....especially if you win the laurel wreath for your great poetic epic......and more so that you have just raised a nice little contribution for the FReepathon!
Mickey, Minnie and Mother Freep thank you

"To sleep, perchance to dream - ay, there's the rub. But in that sleep what Mother Freep Nursery rhymes may come." (Shakespeare - Hamlet, Act III)
(....just adding another poet to the lists of the immortals who've already posted their verses here. This is a very classy thread!)

Okay, all you talentless Bards out there.....I'll be back this evening to read more Mother Freep Nursery Rhymes contest entries.
Remember, the rules of the game are posted on #19 of this thread.
I'm pleased to announce that $35 in matching funds was raised for the Freepathon in just a few opening hours.....with freeper poets and poet-ettes donating only their time and awesome (?) creativity to the cause. Great balls of snips and snails and puppy dog tails! WAY TO GO!
We want to do even better today. So, Don-o your fools' caps and keep the rhymes coming all day so I can do the praises and brickbats tonight!
(Hey, Don-o, you're not off the hook yet, bro!)

There was an old lady
who lived in a shoe,
Let me tell ya, brother,
she knew just what to do —
She cooked up some broth,
and whipped out her bread —
got ready to hit the grassroots
to send the lefties off to bed.
