Note the “conservative” label two or three times; no acknowledgement whatsoever that Code Pink is “liberal”, subtly implying that Code Pink is mainstream and Melanie’s group is not.
Also note the passive voice — “there was a physical altercation” — to eliminate any thought that Code Pink waw the instigator. It, well, just suddenly existed, yeah.

This is the subtle bias that registers subliminally on the reader. The writer only highlights activities or entities which are left or right of center, and since the MSM assume that what they think and how they act are “the norm”, they don’t understand why anyone would think they should label people such as Code Pink as “liberal” when they honestly don’t see them as such.
