Uh oh
It was an effort of two American Jew Representatives proposing this bill, and some people over here are spreading illusions about the background of the bill. We will never forget Islamfascists killed are Christian brothers, killing an Italian Missionary, invited Hamas, and denying American troops to enter Iraq through Turkey during the early stage of war. People supporting Turkey here are unpatriotic, and supporters of the Islamofascists.
We don’t need Turkey for operations in Iraq. Pentagon is already considering supplies to be sent through Jordan. It’s just a matter of cost. Anti-semitism is rising in Turkey since the liberation of Iraq, why support these Turkish NAZIS?
Hope we have Incirlik all packed up.
One package of anti-armor smart munitions will make short work of the Turks.
yes, I think it’ll bite them too. This House bill is extremely unpopular.
Good to see you Mo1!
yep, something tells me we may lose that base
unless Turkey really lets loose on northern Iraq, i don’t think they have to worry about the anti-armor smart munitions
“This will cause shipments of supplies to our troops in Iraq to cease. Not good at all!”
Except for that massive logistics and supply network which comes through the Persian Gulf.
This is nothing more than a Turkish land grab. Iraq is in OUR sphere of influence, I hope that any Turk outstaying his welcome in Iraq is ejected with extreme predudice.
We should protest this, by boycotting Thanksgiving.
I’m certainly in on that :)
wow, what wonderful allies. it is a good thing we didn’t pass that bill or maybe they’d attack Greece next.
give me a break you turkey lovers.
I am not saying that we should never have allowed this legislation to pass, ever, but now?
This was the second dumbest thing to happen, the first being Nancy Pelosi becoming Speaker of the House.
How can we win the War on Terror and keep this country strong, when we have idiots on the left like this who literally vote and introduce poorly timed legislation as if they were on Ahmadinejad and Osama's payroll?
We should all be cognizant of these enemies within, who are dismantling the United States' resolve from within, like termites.
Read Dinesh D'Souza's The Enemy At Home: The Cultural Left and Its Responsibility for 9/11.
It's a great read.
I don’t “support” Turkey but this bill will make it harder to fight islamists in iraq
Not at all. It’s more about cost, but it would not make it impossible. Pentagon is already preparing for alternative routes. One of it is supply to be sent through Jordan. This will allow supplies to bypass Turkey from Italy and Greece. There is always Israel as the last option.
The PKK is a terrorist organization, and there is no excuse for the regional government of Kurdistan to allow them to operate in their sphere of influence. The majority of Kurds do not support their methods, as they often find themselves included in the violence.
So, it is only because the Kurds openly support the PKKs goal of a unified Kurdistan, pulling in parts of Turkey, Syria, and Iran into the Iraqi section, that the PKK find themselves able to operate with impunity.. killing Turkish soldiers and innocent civilians.. then blending back in with the Kurds, just as the Iraqi terrorists blend in with Iraqi citizens too afraid of reprisals to protest.
I support the government of Turkey in their effort to remove a terrorist threat to their citizens. It is the exact same decision that led us to invade Afghanistan and Iraq. Perhaps the Kurds will see reason once they understand that no democratic government is going to allow an active terrorist enemy to destroy them.
What makes you think “we are allowing this”? If Turkey invades the Kurdish northern territory of Iraq, we’re bound to protect the Kurds. Pelosi the Pieceful is pushing us into a possible war with a NATO ally. We need to be demanding an investigation of Pelosi.
The Turkish Parliment can “allow” all they want, but is
the U. S. Military going to “allow” it?
Would Hunter/Beck 08 be OK?
We are allowing this because if we don’t Turkey cuts off our supply lines.
QFT
Personally I'd like to see Kurds get their own country. It's an accident of history that they don't have one already. But the PKK are just terrorists, pure and simple.
