Warm Fuzzy Wednesday Poetry

Temptation

When Mother takes a Nap it is time for we three Kittens to scheme
And explore each inviting room of this huge House as a team
Led by clever Mimsy, with her tawny, silky fur and wise green eyes

We follow the leader through a brief and entertaining exercise
Gliding down wide Halls or up daunting Stairs, one at a time
I trail behind Middle Sister Gretchen's gray stripes to the scene of the crime
A mystical Magic Ball that contains three plump Golden Fish

Which every wide eyed Kitten knows is a Feline's most treasured wish
"There's one for each of us!" Mismy exclaims while sliding towards the Top
Dipping a white gloved paw deep into the wetness then flicking tiny drops

Gretchen watches as the Golden Fish make faces from Inside
Knowing that they are protected as they twist and dip and glide
Ignoring Mimsy's darting paw as it plunges far short of the Middle
We three young ladies stare, unaware that there's a simple solution to this Riddle
