I have been experiencing a rash of odd FreeRepublic behavior.
Every so often, instead of links working as expected (post, clicking reply to FreepMail, etc.) a blank page comes up with simply:
Temporarily Unavailable
No other explanation. Sometimes it continues to come up repeatedly, while other times, I may only see it once in a session.
Anyone have a clue what this might be about? I don't believe it is related to my internet connection, as it has done it to me at work a few times as well on multiple computers.
I suspect its George Bush’s fault.
It has not been happening to me. Not in a long time.
Did you get your FReepathon donation in yet? It’s kind of a hint.
Me too. Including on the first two attempts to reply to this post. And uploading posts seems to run extremely slowly lately too.
Just got the temporarily unavailable message trying to reply to a freepmail. First time I’ve gotten it.
I’ve been getting the same thing for some days now.
Same here. I do not have a clue as to what is going on.
On occasion I’ll submit a reply and see it has appeared several times.
Very frustrating to say the least........slow web responses especially.
I am seeing it pretty frequently since around noon today. Never saw it before.
I’ve been getting the Temporarily Unavailable fairly often for the last few days.
It looks pretty sinister to me ...
That only happens when the site is temporarily unavailable.
could be too many people hitting here?????
I got it twice in the last hour. I’m running Vista FYI, on Charter Wireless.
When you get the “Temporarily Unavailable” message it means that Windows Update has detected that your Windows installation isn’t ‘Genuine’ and will uninstall itself in a week, causing you to lose all of your data.
It’s been occasionally happening to me, too.
