You must not have heard

1) What he's thought of Hillary, etc. (see the "Speech from Hell")
2) The stuff he's said since the whole controversy erupted

This is going to be a totally different Imus than the one we saw mumbling around MSNBC weekday mornings. He is going to have a chip on his shoulder.

I agree with you. I was shocked to see Alan saying something reasonable. Then, of course, the next subject came up of Rush. Alan said he was going to bid on the Dingi Harry Letter and then put it right back up on EBAY for sale and give the proceeds to the ACLU. I couldn’t help but think of that idiot on the commercial who bids at an uppity art sale, then put it immediately back up for sale. What a putz.

It helps that Alan Colmes has himself been a radio host for most of his career. In fact, the two worked together at WNBC back in the 1980s.

Don Imus is a special case. He’s not unfriendly to Democrats in general. Hillary nailed him because he once attacked the clintons, and she was obviously afraid he might do it again.

I suspect the only reason more talking heads didn’t speak up to defend Imus—since they all agree in supporting freedom of speech for talking heads—is that they are terrified that the Witch might do the same thing to them. She is a control freak, who is not going to let any talking heads get out of line without pounding them.

Continue listening to Alan Colmes...he just said he wanted to bid on the Ebay purchase of Rush's letter, AND RE-SELL IT ON EBAY AND GIVE THE PROCEEDS TO THE ACLU------COLMES WOULD TAKE THE $ AWAY FROM THE CHILDREN OF OUR FALLEN MILITARY AND GIVE THAT $ TO THE A.C.L.U.????????

There is NO defending that awful statement!!!!

Yes I did. I also stoped by the Limbaugh site and he’s going to match the winning bid. It was up to $50,100. Very cool!

I wouldn't call it an "agreement"....

A broken clock is right more often than Alan Colmes.

I recall that speech. I saw it on C-Span I think, live when it happened. Thanks for the refresh.

I used to enjoy the Imus program regularly, but in 2004 with the radio fellating that was going on with the Kerry Kampaign, I turned Imus off for good.

I have not missed him (because I wasn’t listening anyhow)since his ridiculously orchestrated lynching by Sharpton et al.

He will have to alienate a lot of Liberals out loud before I would ever consider tuning in to his program again.

"Colmes is married to Dr. Jocelyn Crowley who is currently an associate professor in the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University, where she is also affiliated with the Department of Women's Studies. She is the sister of Monica Crowley, who has substituted several times for Hannity on Hannity & Colmes."

Go figure?

Yeah, but don’t forget that Imus is a liberal, that’s why.

He's disgustingly vulgar, but I give him brownie points for 1. Being pro-life (though it is not a big deal to him, I guess) and 2. Referring to Mrs. Clinton as Satan.
