Don’t ask any questions, don’t read any transcripts, don’t think for yourself, just do it, it’s a border issue! </sarcasm>

Another LEO shot:

A Phoenix police officer was saved by his bulletproof vest when he was shot during a traffic stop in northeast Phoenix Sunday night.

The officer was checked out at a hospital and released.

The suspect fled from the shooting scene and was arrested a few hours later at a home near Seventh Avenue and the Loop 101. He was identified as Jose Abel Cabrera, 35. Police said his pickup had two bullet homes in the rear window, and he had switched out the license plates.

Detective Bob Ragsdale said the officer pulled over a pickup truck for a violation near 36th Street and Sweetwater.

“As our officer approached that vehicle, he observed the suspect put a gun outside the window,” said Detective Bob Ragsdale. “The suspect fired at the officer, the officer returned fire. Our officer, thankfully, was struck in the vest.”

The officer is 22 years old and has been on the force seven months.

Ragsdale said he’s “going to be fine.”

Barry Young on KFYI is reporting:

Jose Abel Cabrera

Another Phoenix cop shot by an illegal alien who was deported at least once.

The poll SHOULD read, “Should Gilmer Hernandez be issued the Congressional Freedom Medal, the Hero of The Texas Revolution Medal, or both?”:
