Hillary's shills still run the IRS (with Pres. Bush's approval)
and with her FBI files (with Pres. Bush's approval), she continues to get what she wants.
That’s wonderful news!
Earlier detection only means their statistics look better and does not necessarily mean a patient lived one day longer than they would have without their treatment.
My grandmother never treated her breast cancer and she lived seven years AFTER she told her family about the lump.
My 30 year old grandson has had testicular cancer. Their five year statistic means nothing. I want a forty year statistic. Then I'll accept that he was "cured". Cured means to live a normal life span--not five years.
Egon: ditto this request.
I am also a Relay volunteer - and highly involved for reasons you can see on my Freeper page if you are so inclined.
I think this previous thread speaks volumes about the ACS ad campaign.

I too noticed the American Cancer Society is now spending my contribution for subtle ads endorsing Hillary's bid for the Presidency, and I also noticed in time to stop my annual contribution to ACS through the CFC (Combined Federal Campaign). I'm sure you noticed, but were not surprised by, the AARP ads doing the same thing for Hillary.

Yup, it’s also why my wife refuses to have anything to do with the teacher’s union and the NEA.
Is the American Cancer Society really running adds for Hillary? It wasn’t clear. If they are running adds about people with Cancer needing medical insurance then that would seem reasonable to me. If they are running adds saying to elect Hillary, then they should lose their non-profit status.

The timing is suspect. I’ve never seen the ACS run an ad noting the lack of health insurance...until now when it’s at the forefront of Hillary’s platform.

Right, which is why they’re leading you down Hillary’s path without mentioning her by name.
I have issues with the American Cancer Society, which have nothing to do with this. I believe they spend way too much of the contributions on non-cancer related expenditures. However, I think that advocating for insurance for cancer patients is not out of the realm of what they should be doing.
I didn’t see the ads, so I can’t tell whether they were saying that universal hillarycare is the way to go or whether they were advocating a change in the system, to ensure coverage for cancer patients.
Cancer patients face big obstacles in getting their expenses covered, even when they have insurance. They have huge medical bills, that very few people would be able to take care of financially. To top it off, once they recover from cancer, they can often be considered uninsureable for future insurance. I do believe these problems need to be addressed. If this is their point, then I applaud the ads. If their point is that universal healthcare is the answer for uninsured cancer patients, then they should no longer be tax exempt.
Actually, I viewed it the opposite way - that charities can provide for the needs of these individuals, so no need for government health care.
See my #12 reply-- I wasn't a Freeper when we did the research (so I didn't keep the source material) and, aside from a fresh search, I can't lay my hands on the research we did. A quick Google query brought me here. I'm not sure of the underlying bias of the site-- but their findings were actually more positive than ours were.
I would suggest doing what we did, though: take a look at ACS's own public numbers.
