In Britain Pakistan people are always referred to as Asian
Calling them “ASIANS” is a deliberate way to create the “racial element” by refering to their colour and not directly their religion or Nationality. Most brown skined Asian non Muslims unfortunately end up as indirect victims of a reputation Muslims have earned for themselves. It isnt a racial problem or a problem between Whites and Coloured people. Its a problem between Muslims and the rest. If the media itself does not gather the courage to identify the real problem, there is no way we can deal with it.
I can understand because you break it down differently that you can interpret it like that but in Britain it purely means they come from Asia.
The British reference to the terms “Asians” signify only people from the sub-continent. Those from the far east are called “Orientals”. Indians take exception to such selective usage of the term that clubs them together with a religious group that has a bad reputation.
In the article above one of the parent say that she is now virtually paranoid of all “Asians”. She is definitely not referring to the Chinese (who are also Asians), she is referring to the brown skinned people from the sub continent. A large number of brown skinned people who are not Muslims will now be subject of British ire and hate which many of my Indian friends have experienced first hand. I dont see it as just a “different way” of referring to an ethnic group. It is neither a broad reference to all Asians in general nor a selective reference to Pakistani Muslims. Just a confusing way of referring to brown skinned people thereby making criminals and terrorists out of all of them.

Its really irritating every time I read the words - ‘Asian’ or ‘South Asian’. Why should we, Indians in general and Hindus in particular, be club with the scum from Muslim-Pakistan? these dork media types try to be political correct and cover up the fact that the criminals and terrorists in most of these events are Muslims/Pakistanis!
Hey, this is secular socialism on display, and what the left would have happen here if they were allowed.
Since these men were of a “victim” race/class/ethnicity, the left will give them a pass on ANY sort of behavior.
The fear runs so deep they are scared of calling the Pakistani Muslims, for what they are. Besides I believe its a clever way to stick it to the Indians as well.

Britian or Engalnd, whichever term you want to use, has been, politically speaking, deballed.
It is well on its way over here. If the Democrats win the White House it will happen quickly. If the Republicans retain the White House it take a while longer.
Liberals and Clintons corrupt and destroy everything they touch.
Liberalism has destroyrd Britian and is destroying the United States.
At this point in time we are approximately 10 years at the mose probably much less behind Britian.
If the Democrats win the White House in ‘08 and due to the stupidity of the American voter they stand an excellent chance to, the change will begin to happen quickly. Should the Republicans retain the White House they will secure their gains and bide their time.
Seems to me a little “racism” could go a long way to solving this issue. Not to mention a lot fewer “johns” seeking sexual gratification with young girls. Not sure sexual gratification is the optimal wording here, at least that isn’t what I would call it. The right wording isn’t real clear at the moment.
In fact I have to ask, just who is it that screams racism when things get tough? I’m beginning to think those who are called racists, are being snookered big time.
