WTOP Reporter Removed From White House
Radio And Records ^ | 10/12/07 | Mike Stern

Posted on 10/13/2007 11:52:59 AM PDT by raccoonradio

Bonneville news/talk WTOP/Washington reporter Mark Plotkin was escorted out of a White House function on Thursday (Oct. 11). According to a posting on the WTOP Web site, Plotkin attended a function where first lady Laura Bush honored the Ballou Senior High School Marching Band.

The post goes on to say that as the first lady finished a short speech, Plotkin called across the room to get her attention. Then, according to an audio clip posted on the site, he asked, "Mrs. Bush, do you agree with those who say and believe that members of the Ballou High School band that you just lauded should not grow up to be members of the House of Representatives?" Mrs. Bush returned to her seat without answering. It was at this point that Plotkin was escorted out of the White House. He claims that White House staffers told him that the question was "out of line" and "disrespectful."

No one has to live in the District of Columbia just as no one has to live in Guam or in Puerto Rico. Those who freely choose to live there should know that the District of Columbia was set up to be the nation’s capital and not part of any state and therefore they have no representation in Congress. That’s the way it is...and the way it should be.

Or the NC Senator who moved to Kansas/DC for 40+ years then used her Mother’s address in NC to run for the Senate.

Mr. Plotkin graduated from George Washington University in 1969 with a degree in American history... He was an advance man and congressional district coordinator for the 1972 campaigns of Edmund Muskie, Eugene McCarthy and George McGovern. He served as deputy finance director for Morris Udall in 1976 and for Ted Kennedy in 1980.

Distinguished career! Distinguished for failure.

I actually have mixed feelings about the CUbs next year. I have high hopes that with some improvements they will win 90 plus games after 85 this year but if they make it into even the NLCS we’ll see Hillary or Obama’s faces everywhere.

Obama was already pressuring the Cubs to have him throw out the first pitch if the Cubs made the series this year. Making noises about helping put the sale through if they did.

And I just found out I can’t be a member of the British Parliament because I don’t live in a place eligible to elects members of Parliament.

This clown Mark Plotkin ran for DC city council several times, with rather notable unsuccess. One election, when he refused to concede despite losing by a landslide he said he was “still waiting for the farm vote to come in.” A pretty good excuse in a major American city, if you ask me.

...due to the United States governmental neglect of an impoverished community just 3 miles away from the US Capitol building.

Impoverished?? Isn't the DC school system one of the most lavishly funded in the country? I seem to recall that they have a per-pupil spending rate north of 11K per year.

I won’t be surprised if the role gets spun as “First Ambassador” or “World Ambassador” to create the perception of a role that would feed BC’s ego.

You can bet your bippy that if the Beast is elected, and Congress adds jackasses, a strong attempt will be made to award two looney left senators and a radical representative to Congress.

They are on the way to a national band competition, but first they have to learn how to play instruments and overcome personal loses (sic) due to the United States governmental neglect of an impoverished community just 3 miles away from the US Capitol building.

That's priceless. The federal payment to D.C. was well over half a million dollars when it was stopped about ten years ago in favor of an even more generous scheme whereby the federal government foots the bill for certain D.C. functions.

A billion here, a billion there... it's never real money when you are dealing with these whiners.

'So what is the reporter’s gang affiliation, or are they simple race baiters?'

Plotkin is a known left-leaning asshat on WTOP's payroll.

I guess they must be talking about some sort of guaranteed middle class minimum income because the DC public schools have one of the highest (if not the highest) school budgets in the country (in terms of $/student). Now what and whom those dollars are spent on...well, that’s another story.
