"Mom and Dad" as well as "husband and wife" have been banned from California schools under a bill signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who with his signature also ordered public schools to allow boys to use girls restrooms and locker rooms, and vice versa, if they choose.
"We are shocked and appalled that the governor has blatantly attacked traditional family values in California," said Karen England, executive director of Capitol Resource Institute.
"With this decision, Gov. Schwarzenegger has told parents that their values are irrelevant. Many parents will have no choice but to pull their children out of the public schools that have now become sexualized indoctrination centers."
"Arnold Schwarzenegger has delivered young children into the hands of those who will introduce them to alternative sexual lifestyles," said Randy Thomasson, president of Campaign for Children and Families, which worked to defeat the plans. "This means children as young as five years old will be mentally molested in school classrooms.
"Shame on Schwarzenegger and the Democrat politicians for ensuring that every California school becomes a homosexual-bisexual-transsexual indoctrination center," he said.

To be fair, I don't think most people would have guessed Arnold would have turned out to be a total socialist lunatic. Him signing this bill goes far beyond any I would have dreamed he would endorse. It's appalling on every level of decent moral values. I am completely disgusted. This is an utter disgrace.

We should not cower to the left and go along with their policies to destroy this nation in the name of tolerance and diversity.
Funny how you hear nothing from so called family oriented groups like blacks and Hispanics. Of course most minorities only care about race and racial pride. Sad commentary and further proof that we need to be more insistent on the founding principles of our nation.

What Arnie says is insignificant. Banning Mom and Dad and Husband and Wife will never change Mom and Dad and Husband and Wife no matter how many laws they make nor how many laws this idiot signs. There are some things that just do not and never will change.
We are not blank slates. Rousseau was wrong in assuming culture and tradition are actually prisons that must be destroyed. As human beings we seek out and actualize what has been found to work over thousands upon thousands of years. There is a biological and a psychological demarcation of the sexes that even the Soviet Union and the Harvard faculty failed to change. The Governor of California will do no better and may be laying the foundation for others to ridicule him across the generations.

Unfortunately even if you pull your children out, you still have to pay school taxes. In fact the teacher’s union will probably like that there are fewer kids that have to be dealt with. If only there was a way to hit them in the pocketbook without moving out of state.

You must have missed the flame wars. That was fun stuff. As an Iowan, it is always fun to watch other state's politicians tear each other apart. It gives us ammo if they want to be President as they have to come through us first.
I skimmed the bill and would not interpret it as they do.
I'm not saying activist lawyers and judges won't go there though. I live in CA so I know better. I really believe this is a lot of hysteria over what were look like minimal changes to existing law.
The “Republicans” in this state could not get enough of Schwarzenegger and now they can’t get enough of Giuliani. Giuliani said he will run the country like Schwarzenegger runs California.
Don’t blame me, I voted for Tom McClintock.
