Washington, D.C. U.S. Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-CA), ranking member on the House Armed Services Committee, joined his Republican colleagues today in condemning attacks against conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh.
Yesterday, several Congressional Democrats openly attacked Rush Limbaugh for comments that were misrepresented and taken well out of context. These were nothing more than slanderous, partisan attacks meant only to satisfy the left-wing activists of the Democratic Party.
Whether on or off the air, Limbaugh has been a long-standing and strong supporter of our military men and women. Rather than creating controversies, Democrats in Congress should invest their time and energy into ensuring our troops have the resources and support they need to achieve victory. If they want to show support for our troops, that is how they can do it.
Hunter scares them, to them he is an eeeeeeeevil conservative.
“Those conservatives are confused but they will come around eventually.”
Yes confused, and at least half of them buy into the whole, Hunter can’t get elected, stuff. I have heard so many say they would prefer Hunter, but he can’t get elected.
If everyone who thought that, instead through their support behind Hunter, he COULD get elected. What they are doing instead is letting the media and media run polls, pick their President for them. Not something I am willing to do, EVER!
“Wow. Hunter is the only current candidate who talks like this. The last one before him who sounded like this was Reagan.”
Coincidence? I think not!!
We have the candidate everyone has been clamoring for since Reagan. WAKE UP EVERYBODY!!
You just inspired me to modify my tagline! Thanks!!
Agreed. It sickens me how the media wants to decide who the nominees will be. It seems like they’ve decided that they want a Rudy/Hitlery race. Like it or not, the MSM still has a LOT of power.
Absolutely right!
I suppose calling for Harry Reid to step down many months ago when he insulted our troops doesn't count? Limbaugh can defend himself, young men risking their lives for their country can't.They are busy at present and one of them happens to be Hunters son. What way was the wind blowing then? Does it have to be a personality being insulted before it registers on the Fredster anonometer?
LOL. I like it. I will change too, a new movement is born, heh
Does this mean we are over our Colin Powell/Bo Derek feud?:)
I like your tag better, do you mind if I use it?
Ask Gidget, she’s the genius behind the movement. Yes, the Derek vs. Powell argument can wait for another day. The day after Duncan Lee Hunter is sworn in as President of the USA.
Thank you Mr. Hunter.
my exact question!! WHAT ON EARTH has gone haywire with the Republican party? Duncan IS the right MAN... Going to make a donation !!!!!
“I suppose calling for Harry Reid to step down many months ago when he insulted our troops doesn’t count?”
Duncan Hunter has been the most outspoken critic of the Democrats anti-war leftists. Especially when it involves the Democrats in congress and their treasonous actions and statements.
Exactly right, and they rarely answer his critiques. They don't seem to want a fight with him. I suppose they feel the less is known of Hunter, the better, and they hope the GOP remains star-struck and keeps wetting their pants at the mention of Hillary's name.
Hunter’s comments are short and sweet, and entirely right. Well said Duncan!
“We are concerned about those who foolishly chase after the more moderate top tier candidates thinking that they are conservative enough because only they can beat Hillary.”
Thank you for this comment and I agree with you.
Here is what I don’t understand, so many come onto Hunter threads and say he is not electable. So what?
Some seem to act as if there is only 1 opportunity to vote in this country. There are 2 opportunities to vote, once in the primary and once in the general election. After the primaries we have a convention for each party where the nominee is selected, that nominee has to get over 50% of the vote to win nomination.
Do people really not get that they can vote for one person in the primary and if that person is not the nominee they can not vote for someone else in the general election?
Or do they think that during the convention the candidate with the plurality of votes gets the nomination?
If anyone is thinking either, they are wrong.
A person can vote for one person in the primary election and another in the general election.
Add to that, if during the convention, after the first vote there is not a person with more than 50% of the delegates votes, the delegates are then free to vote, not for who sent them, but for whoever they decide to vote for.
Currently the GOP field is wide open and no one is really close to the 50% mark for nomination. Any one can win at this point. Even you could win the nomination the way things are going at the moment, if we just got enough delegates to vote for you after the first vote at the convention failed to get a vote of over 50%.
No confusion, clear as a bell.
Most know Fred will serve them well.
Please see my post #57 regarding the unelectability in this election.
Well said!! As long as Duncan Hunter is in the hunt, I am going for the very best. Like you said, none of the so-called top tier have a lock on the nomination or even half of a simple majority. Anything can happen between now and the first primaries.
