p.s. Is there any LEGAL person with a Social Security number who cannot obtain a Soc. Sec. card or other documentation with the number on it? Is there some form of validation that is beyond the capacity of LEGAL residents to supply within 90 days???????

My wife recently lost her SS card here in Houston. She took her birth certificate and her TX drivers license into a local SS office.

She had written verification of her SS number in about 20 minutes, and she had her new card in 8 days.

No. I had to replace mine about five years ago and it only took a couple of weeks, if that much.

NOPE... AND IT DOES NOT TAKE 90 DAYS.. MORE LIKE 90 SECONDS.. of course for some folks that would be unreasonable to ask them to take 90 seconds out of their busy life to KEEP THEIR JOB --- if in fact they are legally allowed to work the U.S.

By this logic ANY law requiring compliance within X days, weeks, or months, is illegal because the time constraint "might harm the innocent".

So there's no need to appear in this judge's court promptly at 9:00AM because such a constraint "might harm the innocent."

And now we also have a circuit court effectively ruling that the SSN database is such a mess that it cannot be used to validate any aspect of work authorization.

That's OK, I say just use passports, DL's, birth certificates, and make document fraud a federal felony with mandatory jailtime.

My wife misplaced our safe deposit box key - and I needed my SS card or passport for verification. Both were in the box. Luckily, we found the key, but it took about a month. 90 days shouldn’t be too hard unless you simply aren’t trying.
