Finally! The chickens are coming home to roost of the Turk monsters.
Turks need to face the truth about the genocides they committed and then they need to pony up reparations!

Morally good, but politically dangerous.
We are already having a hard time holding back Turkey not to intervene in Northern Iraq. Very well so. We have to keep Kurdistan intact. So it’s probably the worst time to anger the Turks with this resolution, but still it’s principally and morally the right thing to do.

Not good. Who do we need more now as an ally the Turkish military of the (non-existent) Armenian military? Who do the House Reps think helped Israel destroy that Syrian nuclear facility? Hint: not the Armenians.

Bush wants Darfur declared a genocide and not the Armenians. Maybe Turkey bent his ear and asked for a favor.

THE BEST NEWS I READ ALL DAY.
Now should we expect Turkey to invade northern Iraq and attack the Kurds or make a pork sandwich? Glad congress had some ba**S to do something right. God Bless all those Christians who perished.

The Armenian Army is part of the Multi-National Forces in Iraq. The Turks prevented our plans to move into Iraq from the north. Regarding Iraq, Armenia is on our side, while Turkey sides with Iran. I have little sympathy with Turkey.
This House resolution is morally right. But it comes to an bad time. The Turks are threatening to invade Kurdistan, and we just harshly asked them to stay away. I see little good in angering them with this resolution further.

Even though this is one of those rare occasions where the house clowns may be correct, they’ve lost all credibility...they’re right down there with Carter and Rather. Who the hell cares??
To: 353FMG
How many of those voting for it are doing it just to defy President Bush and really don't give a rat's tail about the Armenians?

Finally! The chickens are coming home to roost of the Turk monsters.I agree. And it's about damn time.
Bush couldn't stop it. He tried.
Turks need to face the truth about the genocides they committed and then they need to pony up reparations!
I can't see them owning up to it-ever. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised, but I won't hold my breath.

What prompted this resolution at this time?
I haven’t been following this.

Freepers are fooled, as usual. The timing undermines the WOT and endangers our soldiers.
Of course...do the Dems ever do anything to help the cause?

Can’t give a definite answer, as it seems Congress pondered some time on this, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Dems are abusing this resolution to further harm our currently very strained relations to Turkey (we are barely holding the Turks back from invading Kurdistan), and undermine our efforts in the Middle East.

Screw Turkey. You bring up northern Iraq? We saw them put to the test of being our ally and they failed when we wanted to enter Northern Iraq from their border.
1.5 million Armenians slaughtered. Think about that number.
Turkey has already had at least one incursion into Northern Iraq, and three of their soldiers were killed.
Anger the Turks? I don't care.
