I never said anything about sacrificing principles, and I’ll thank you not to imply things that I don’t state. It’s just that in politics you get the chance to implement an agenda based on your principles by winning. You don’t if you are a loser. If you’re going to be serious about politics, it is better to be a principled winner than a principled loser.

I don't think you understand, I agree with you.

I didn't imply you said principles don't matter. That's what I said.

What you said that I completely agree with is, that winning is all that matters.

Lets say there are two candidates for the GOP against Hillary. Candidate A is right on 95% of the issues. He is smart, honorable and wise. But for some reason we know he can't win. Now Candidate B is right on 25% of the issues. He is not exactly honorable but he hasn't screwed up too bad in the past. And he has a chance to beat Hillary.

Candidate B is the man we have to vote for.

Principles are a luxury we can't afford. There are 3 Supreme Court seats in the balance.

And sure it would be great if we can win and still have our principles but only if we win first.
