Not sure where this goes but has this happened to you. I have Dish Network and Tivo on a wireless network at the house so they update and download configurations and channel lineups I receive all the time.
Last night while going to watch the debate, I tried to get Fox News (205). It had been removed from the channels I received for years.
I had to go in an manually re-add the channel to watch Fox.
Dish network hates the NY Yankees too, can’t get the YES channel.
I have Dish. I could have watched the debate if I wanted to.
If there is any blip in the power, the “custom channel” selection reverts to “all channels”, even sometimes changing channel numbers until the satellite resets the system.
Its weird for sure, but there was no conspiracy.
Never saw the loss last night but I did not try and watch the debate. Fox was on this morning.
what guide “setting” did you have when you were looking for 205? I have some favorite lists set up, but most of the time, I look in my “All Sub” (All Subscribed) channel list when in the guide. I have had it from time to time where my “favorites” were hosed up after a firmware upgrade was pushed down..
My Tivo has been renaming their channels because of the addition of the new HD ones.
My list has not changed. It also worked over the weekend just as it had for years. It was only last night it was turned off and that also means I could not record with tivo for ratings either.
But I went right back to the old number and it was not renamed or moved. My HD’s get added at the end of the list.
Someone in tour house maybe?........Did the batteries fall out of the remote?............
My DISH bill is high enough without forking over another two bucks for the Yankee network. Since Steinbrenner won’t allow it to be an optional channel, it won’t be added. (And I wouldn’t buy it)
Dish dosent HATE the NY Yankees.
YES has a deal with Direct TV for satellite exclusivity.
its all dollars and cents.
Switch satellite providers or get cable.
A storm blocked my reception on that particular channel. The big guy upstairs must not like Westerns!
I received this message via email. It is in PDF format and I do not know how to post it in HTML.
; )
I live in the NYC metro area and I have CableVision as my cable company. I’ve noticed a problem lately with FNC and I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed the same problem.
At times the video and audio are way out of sync. Sometimes the video freezes. Other times my TV screen will go completely black except for a message in the upper left hand corner of the screen, which says, “Poor Quality Signal” or “No Signal” and even “Channel 1 Fox News Not Authorized”.
I haven’t noticed this problem on any other channel.
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed similar problems and where the problem lies, with the signal from Fox News or CableVision?
Thanks
sounds like your tivo doesn’t “get you”.
Sorry, I disagree with the idea of exclusivity in programming. For starters I can't get cable and why should I have to change providers to get a station, makes no sense.
