I see you’re mad at those not towing the line.

Megan Kelly on FoxNews thinks the 4 liberal justices will get 1 of the moderate/conservatives to join them and side with the Bush Administration.

If Medellin wins, all 50 some of the Mexicans related to this cage get new trials. [And they are, to quote Megan, “the worst of the worst of the worst.”]

Bingo. JFK announced that he was going to get rid of the CIA and tear it up “into a thousand pieces. Bush I and Clinton were/are CIA (I don’t know about Bush II). Bush I and Clinton knew not to cross the CIA, lest they be JFK’d. Bush I would certainly make sure that Bush II knew the ground rules.

Thanks. This issue has never been that clear to me, so I appreciate it.

"Getting a little reminiscent here, but when was the last time somebody tried to justify what Bush has done as, “He must be smarter than we’re giving him credit for”, or “He’s outsmarting the dems again somehow”?

I think for me, the last time I said something like that was about 6 months ago, and it was concerning WOT.

lately I've been just holding my breath just hoping he doesn't do anything stupid.

It's not working.

11/2008 won't come soon enough for me.
Actually he gets to hang around until 1/2009 - but I'm with 'ya.

But they say they’re here to help this country as well as their families.

I just didn't realize that Canada grew that much lettuce that needs to be harvested. Does Canada have that many open jobs that Canadians won't do? [/s]

and the saddest part about it all, after watching the “debates” last night, I don’t see the GOP coming up with a true blue conservative to run next year...
I like Hunter & Tancredo(not his best performance last night) but with poll numbers barely breaking 3%, they sure aren’t exactly burning up the airwaves! LOL

This is not an “illegal immigration thing”...so how about you take a gigantic whiff of the facts...

This is an international treaty thing...not a “Jorge Armbusto sold out the country to the Mexicans”

if this thug had been a Polish citizen and comitted this crime...and HPD didnt inform him of his consolute rights...the same thing would be happening...

For the record... I want the wall built that just happens to be what Bush pushed for...yada yada...

Lately in TX and elsewhere there has been illegal round ups etc...blah blah blah...but...hey let’s just continue to Bash Bush...because that is easier then looking at the truth about what is going on...

For the record...I believe more needs to be done. We should build a mote along the border fill it full of aviation full and claymores...etc... Bus every single illegal immigrant out of the country etc...

But..I am not going to hang this President out to dry because I disagree with him on a couple of things while agreeing with him on a majority of items.

It seems to me that the Republican elite are trying to move center ground way left of where it should be. The result is a moonbat leftist party on the far reaches of the left side of the spectrum, and a republican party that has abandoned any pretense of right side of the isle views, and is now setting up camp far left of center.

You are absolutely right.

I used to explain it to myself that the party did this for votes and maybe I didn't care for the resulting legislation, but at least it meant Rs would win instead of Ds who would be far worse.

But they don't get the votes. True believer liberals and most people under age 30 won't vote for a Republican, no matter how big a leftist that Republican is.

Now I explain it to myself that they are power corrupted so-and-so's and they move to the left because they want bigger government that gives them more power.

The evidence fully supports the indictment that the majority of our elected officials are governed by nothing more than their own greed and their desire for a lifetime appointment to office. The only thing left is to arrest, convict and sentence the SOBs.

I heard on Fox that they were not told they could have access to Mexican Consulate when arrested as a right! My question is if you are an illegal alien how do you have rights?

The question is whether officers of the HPD are bound by an international treaty to which Texas is not a signatory. If this piece of scum had been apprehended by the feds, I’d agree with you. But he was apprehended by the State of Texas. Before the US Constitution became just another piece of paper to be ignored, states retained all those rights not specifically given to the federal government, and we were all better off for it.

In this case, Bush has sided with the Mexican government over the State of Texas, and IMO, for international law over the US Constitution. It seems he only has the courage of his convictions until the Mexican government whines, and then the convictions go right out the window. What I would love to know is, WHY?

I agree with you for the most part but the President is still wrong not to have stepped in to help Campeon & Ramos.

Yeah...that’s exactly it...*sigh*

I am just tired of some skipping over the underlying facts of the why and wherefores of issues to go directly to “Jorge
sold out the country”

But hey...don’t let the facts change your mindset...just bash the messenger and accuse him of being mad that others “aren’t towing the line”

Thanks for your insight.

I don’t see the GOP coming up with a true blue conservative to run next year...

Yeh.

Some think Huckabee is the dark horse who might emerge, but they don't look at his record.

Some think Thompson is the one, but they ignore that his report card on conservatism, immigration, etc., is only a C.

Unless one of the near-dozen wannabes actually finds a way to break away from the pack, we may see a brokered convention with 3 or 4 going into the Convention with 20-30% each of the delegate votes. With the big-business-country-club-pro illegals-pro open borders running the RNC, the guy who emerges to represent the GOP might be so undesirable that the GOP does a Dole and hands Hillary the election.
