Washington Post ^ | Rick Weiss

Vanessa Alarcon saw them while working at an antiwar rally in Lafayette Square last month.

"I heard someone say, 'Oh my god, look at those,' " the college senior from New York recalled. "I look up and I'm like, 'What the hell is that?' They looked kind of like dragonflies or little helicopters. But I mean, those are not insects."

We must have a full senate investigation. To start off we need all of the GOP’s emails for the last ten years.

The idea that the government would develop such a contraption is not that wild.

What is wild is that they would bother with antiwar demonstrators.

Last line of the article:

"I don't want people to get paranoid, but what can I say?" Fearing said. "Cellphone cameras are already everywhere. It's not that much different."

You have a great point there.

If you tell an anti-war protester that, they bug out at they idea that someone might not really care what they think.

Many, many of these lefty nuts do this stuff, not to much for a cause, but for the feeling of self importance, and act in ways to confirm their own delusions of grandeur.

It’s going to be funny to see further embellishments of those imaginings and exaggerations on the conspiracy story sites. ...self-described “paleo-cons” gone wilder.

I have found that this type of protection works very good on numerous kinds of government surveliance.

It is reasonably cheap too.

"And all reported seeing at least three maneuvering in unison. "Dragonflies never fly in a pack," he said."

He's obviously never been to Louisiana. During my summer evening strolls dragonflies will naturally swarm to the cloud of mosquitoes I seem to attract...and just as the mosquitoes hover about me, the dragonflies hover around the mosquitoes...it's as close as I'll ever come to having a fighter escort.

Didn’t “The Unit” have one of thes things in an episode last season?
As I recall, they tried it and decided it still had bugs in it, so they abandoned using it for the mission.

Sonny M: "Many, many of these lefty nuts do this stuff, not to much for a cause, but for the feeling of self importance, and act in ways to confirm their own delusions of grandeur."

~~~~~~~~~
Example from the article:
Mara Verheyden-Hilliard of the Partnership for Civil Justice said her group is investigating witness reports and has filed Freedom of Information Act requests with several federal agencies. If such devices are being used to spy on political activists, she said, "it would be a significant violation of people's civil rights."
~~~~~~~~~

Hey, you delusional, mentally-deficient, self-important hyphenated-name-liberal dingbat! If you are performing a nasty act (like anti-American protesting) in public, you have no claim on a right to privacy!!! So...STFU!!!!!

Sonny M, you were right on target!!!
