UNDATED -- The Paul McCartney-Stevie Wonder hit "Ebony and Ivory" tops a new list of the worst duets.

BBC Radio Six conducted the poll, seeking listeners' views on the collaborations they like the most -- and least. The 1982 tune is one of two tracks the former Beatle has in the top 10 worst list. "The Girl Is Mine," his duet with Michael Jackson, has the No. 6 spot. Elton John and David Bowie also have two collaborations on the worst list.

Elton's "Live 8" performance of "Children of the Revolution" with British rocker Pete Doherty is coming in at No. 7, while his version of "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me" with George Michael takes the No. 9 spot.

Has there ever been a Leonard Nimoy - William Shatner duet? The world can’t wait for one!

Paul McCartney is responsible for the very best pop music every written.

Unfortunately for him, “pop music” as an entire category is shitty saccharin garbage.

Are you sure it's not Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson?

McCartney’s “The Girl is Mine” duet with Michael Jackson should have won the award.

Do the Three Tenors recordings qualify as duets?

He received seperate royalty checks (no pun, but there it is anyway) for each version.

Then there are several other lesser known songs bout blondes, one featuring a video with his faux ‘wife’ from the 1980’s...who just happened to be a blonde come to think of it.

Anyway...email Keith Richards about it. I just recalled the comment.

"Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me" with George Michael takes the No. 9 spot.

Could have been worse, if Sony censors hadn't changed the title from "Your Son".

My nominee:

It may be stretching a definition to call this a "duet" but I will report that Nimoy's "Ballad Of Bilbo Baggins" will curdle milk.

It’s a great song, but the fact it’s a father and daughter singing it is kind of creepy.

Actually, The Smithereens did a nice cover version of it as well.

Yikes! I'd completely forgot about that. I guess the brain really does try to protect itself by blocking out hideous memories.

Where is the WORST (easily) of all time?

Michael Jackson/Mick Jagger’s “State of Shock”

I was working a summer data entry NORC and the radio (WBBM?) had it on what must have been a three song rotation. I nearly lost my mind.

Ebony and Ivory is merely the sappiest. It is SO formulaic one can almost marvel at it.

Now if you want a GOOD duet, David Bowie’s post mortem duet with Bng Crosby of “White Christmas/Little Drummer Boy” was a work of talent and genious.
