Boxer amendment would block immigration enforcement

The rub:

Boxer’s amendment, SA 3246, is attached to the current spending bill up on the Senate floor. So, why is Boxer so interested in blocking aggressive immigration enforcement leading up to the 2010 Census?

Hint, hint:

U.S. states with large numbers of undocumented immigrants could receive additional seats in Congress after the 2010 census is conducted.

A University of Connecticut study concluded Arizona, Texas and Florida could all see their House delegations increase due to rising populations that include sizable numbers of illegal immigrants.

Although they can’t vote, such aliens are included in the census. The San Jose (Calif.) Mercury News predicted Tuesday the pending 2010 headcount could be the subject of a political fight as Democrats and Republicans jockey for position before House seats are reallocated.

The Connecticut study also predicted California and New Jersey would likely keep their current number of seats while states with fewer immigrants, including New York, Illinois and Ohio, will lose a seat or two. Where do your senators stand?

Its all about House seats for the Democrats. If illegals are excluded from the count, more seats would shift from Blue States to Red States. No wonder Babs Boxer wants to make sure that doesn't happen.

As Kalifornistan’s burden of billions upon billons grows by billions to pay for the illegals. She is murdering her on state. As if she cared.

It's too bad the law doesn't say that only legal citizens are counted AND that all illegals in a state are subtracted from that count. You'd then see states dumping illegals like the plague.

No more sanctuary cities and states then... but the libs will NEVER let that happen.

They shouldn't be included in the census to benefit some corrupt state that harbors them. The only reason to count them is to see how many barges we need to ship them out.

And Boxer is reprehensible. She doesn't represent the citizens of CA. She represents the colonists and the criminal businesses that pay them.

Well, we had a civil war deciding who was and wasn’t a full citizen, I guess we will have to have another. Do you think the Dems would actually fight for something? I mean really, physically fight.

No. But I am far more concerned that we couldn’t get three people to stand up and fight together, either.

I’m ready right now.

Illegals should never be counted to determine seats in the House. They should be counted only to show how many there are. Our government should seperate the citizens and the illegals.

You hit the nail on the head! Too many so called freepers and conservatives claim boycotts are a waste of time, wouldnt waste a minute of their time marching for enforcement of the constitution, or anything else. I have seen it time and again how most just talk the talk. The reason that libs have such power in the media, govt. and universities is because the present a united front - lawsuits, boycotts, and mass marches. It also helps that they are filthy liars but again they own the media, the courts and the universities so no one exposes their lies.

This also highlights a new, growing problem resulting from capping the House of Representatives at 435.

If the US population is over 300 million due to illegals, and the illegal population is expected to grow by 40 million, we would find ourselves reducing the representation in other states -- even if they don't see a reduction in population -- simply because other states outgrew them. And since this growth is not a movement of the population from, say, the Rust Belt to the Sun Belt, but rather a migration across the border, it really does begin to put representation in Congress out of kilter.

When will someone recommend simply adding another 50 or so seats to the House of Representatives?

“Just let me get reelected, to hell with the country” seems to be the mantra of our politicians today. These idiots don’t seem to realize that if the country goes down, they go down too. Boxer is so incredibly stupid and arrogant.

No, they would have the illegals do it for them.
